The MING 37.02 Monolith is a 38 mm automatic watch distinguished by an anthracite DLC-coated steel case and a sapphire dial with channels filled with MING Polar White luminous material. MING says the model is sold out, deliveries are complete and it will not be produced again, so a new example is not currently offered by the brand.
What makes the MING 37.02 Monolith distinctive?
MING describes the Monolith as a stealthier take on the 37.02 Minimalist. Its 316L stainless-steel case has an anthracite diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating and a mix of brushed and matte-blasted finishes. The dial is sapphire, with laser-cut channels filled with the brand’s proprietary Polar White luminous material. MING says the dial’s appearance shifts with viewing angle and lighting; that is the manufacturer’s description, not a hands-on assessment.
The luminous treatment also creates a contrast between the dial and hands: the dial channels use MING Polar White, while the hands use blue-emitting Super-LumiNova X1.

How the Monolith differs from the 37.02 Minimalist
The Monolith is presented by MING as the stealthier variant, with the anthracite DLC-coated case and its sapphire dial treatment as the defining visual details. The available product information establishes the Monolith’s specifications but does not provide a full side-by-side specification set for the 37.02 Minimalist. Avoid assuming other differences in movement, dimensions or performance without checking the relevant Minimalist configuration.
Case, movement and wearing details
Compact dimensions with a 20 mm strap interface
At 38 mm across, 11 mm thick and 44.5 mm lug-to-lug, the Monolith’s published dimensions give a concrete starting point for judging fit. The case accepts a 20 mm strap. MING lists the included Mango FKM rubber strap as 20 x 18 mm, referring to its width at the lugs and buckle end.
If replacing the strap, check the lug width, the replacement strap’s buckle-end width and whether its hardware works with the original buckle. The published dimensions do not establish that a particular third-party strap will fit the Monolith’s buckle.

Time-only automatic movement
The Sellita for MING SW300.M1 is an automatic movement configured with anthracite skeletonized bridges and a customized rotor. The watch displays hours and minutes only. MING states an approximately 45-hour power reserve at full wind.

MING lists 100 m water resistance and double gaskets. The domed sapphire crystals have double-sided anti-reflective coating. These are manufacturer specifications; follow MING’s guidance for the watch’s care and water use.

MING’s product page states that the Monolith is sold out, deliveries are complete and it “will not be produced again.” That is the brand’s current production statement; resale availability can change independently.

The release was listed in MING’s press room on 16 July 2025. Launch coverage from Fratello and Monochrome reported a CHF 3,500 launch price and a plan for annual production of 100 pieces. Those figures describe the announced launch terms, not a current retail offer or a confirmed final delivery count. Fratello characterized the 100-per-year plan as annual production rather than a one-time limited edition.

Swiss assembly and the Swiss Made mark
MING says the Monolith is assembled at its facility in Switzerland, while key engineering and development work is done by Ming Thein from Kuala Lumpur. The brand explains that the watch therefore does not carry a Swiss Made mark. This is MING’s explanation of the model’s origin and marking, rather than an independent assessment of the legal standard.
