The Mido Ocean Star 39 is a 39 mm automatic dive-watch family, not a single fixed configuration. For real-watch photographs, Time and Watches shows the blue-to-black M026.907.11.041.00; MIDO’s closely related blue steel-bracelet reference M026.907.11.041.01 is listed with a 10.5 mm-thick case, 20 mm lugs, 200 m water resistance and up to 72 hours of power reserve. Check the reference before comparing photos or shopping: dial, finish, strap, price and stock vary.
Live pictures: what the Ocean Star 39 looks like
Time and Watches’ hands-on review includes many photographs of the blue-to-black gradient-dial Ocean Star 39, reference M026.907.11.041.00. The reviewer says they spent several days with that watch. It is useful for seeing the dial and case in real-watch photographs, but it is not the same reference as the blue steel-bracelet .01 model detailed in MIDO’s US listing.
MIDO’s Ocean Star 39 launch video, published June 26, 2024, also shows the blue/black gradient dial. MIDO framed the release as an 80th-anniversary launch and said the 39 mm case size was new to the Ocean Star line.
What the 39 mm size and specifications mean
For reference M026.907.11.041.01, MIDO lists a 39 mm stainless-steel case, 10.5 mm average thickness and 20 mm lug width. The brand specifies a sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating, an automatic movement with date, and up to 72 hours of power reserve. It rates the watch to 20 bar / 200 m / 660 ft and lists a screw-down crown. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results.

The dimensions give a more useful starting point than the diameter alone, but they cannot establish how the watch will fit a particular wrist. The photographs can help you judge its visible proportions; they are not a standardized fit test for every wearer.
Ocean Star 39 variants are not interchangeable
MIDO’s catalog shows meaningful differences among Ocean Star 39 references. Compare the exact reference number rather than assuming every watch called “Ocean Star 39” has the same dial, finish, strap or weight.

A 20 mm lug width does not guarantee that any generic 20 mm strap will fit cleanly, especially at the end links. Check the strap and reference compatibility before ordering; MIDO’s Canadian listing is a source for its alternate straps.

Price and availability are market- and time-dependent. When surfaced, MIDO’s US page for M026.907.11.041.01 displayed $1,350 and out-of-stock status; the Canadian page for M026.907.21.021.00 displayed CA$1,540. These are regional page snapshots, not a universal current price or evidence that the same watch is available everywhere.
