Released on 18 June 2024 in a batch of 300 at an original price of CHF 4,500, it is now sold out: MING says deliveries are complete and the model will not be produced again.
What makes the Starlight’s aventurine dial distinctive?
MING describes the dial as a deep blue-black material with subtle metallic sparkle, with the color and shimmer changing with the light. The brand says it tested multiple aventurine variants before selecting the one used on the watch. In MING’s words, “The Aventurine dial brings to mind a clear night sky, with subtly sparkling stars over a deep blue-black base.” MING’s product page
The dial is polished and contributes to MING’s light-angle inversion effect. MING says it therefore does not add a sapphire layer over the dial; the delicate aventurine instead has substantial metal backing. The result is an unusual dial material, rather than a decorative layer beneath an additional crystal.
Case, dimensions and wear specifications
The watch uses the familiar MING 37-series case shape in 316L stainless steel, with brushed and polished surfaces and a narrow bezel. The front and rear crystals are domed sapphire with double-sided anti-reflective coating; HyCeram indices sit inside the top crystal. The official specification lists 100 m water resistance.

There is a published measurement discrepancy: Hodinkee’s contemporary hands-on specifications give 45.5 mm lug-to-lug, while MING lists 44.5 mm. The table uses the manufacturer’s figure; the difference is worth checking if lug-to-lug fit is a deciding factor. Hodinkee’s hands-on specifications
Movement, display and bracelet
The SW210.M1 is a manually wound movement made by Sellita for MING. It displays hours and minutes, with an approximately 40-hour power reserve from a full wind. MING specifies skeletonized anthracite-coated bridges with contrasting rhodium circular brushing. The anthracite-coated hands use Super-LumiNova X1, applied in multiple printing passes.

The included second-generation universal bracelet is stainless steel, 20 mm wide and fitted with quick-release hardware, sculpted leaf links and a concealed double butterfly clasp. MING says it is compatible with other MING watches with 20 mm lug width; that statement does not establish fit or clasp compatibility with every third-party strap.
MING lists a two-year warranty against defects and includes a leather travel pouch handmade in Kuala Lumpur by Studio Koji Sato. These are the manufacturer’s stated product details, not confirmation of coverage for a pre-owned purchase.

Original price, batch size and release date
MING’s press-room listing dates the release to 18 June 2024. The brand’s launch-video description states a batch of 300 watches and an original price of CHF 4,500. Fratello also reported the CHF 4,500 launch price and June 2024 preorder timing. These figures describe the original release, not a current resale valuation. Is the MING 37.08 Starlight still available?
No. MING’s official archive says the Starlight is sold out, deliveries are complete and the model will not be produced again. The page is retained for reference and information, so the original CHF 4,500 price should not be read as a current order price. MING’s archived product page

MING introduced the Starlight as the next elemental watch after the 37.08 Sand. The later 37.08 Twilight is described by MING as an evolution that takes the Starlight’s place in the line. It retains the aventurine night-sky dial theme and hand-wound Sellita movement, but changes to a DLC-coated case and a leather strap. Twilight is also archived as sold out and not to be produced again; its details should not be confused with the Starlight’s steel case and bracelet. MING 37.08 Twilight
