What is the Mission to the Moon?
Mission to the Moon is a gray model in the Bioceramic MoonSwatch collection, designed as a playful take on the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch. Its black bezel and strap, gray dial and case, and luminous hands and markers give it a familiar Speedmaster silhouette. Swatch identifies the watch as reference SO33M100. Swatch’s product page supplies the model’s official specifications.

These are Swatch’s published figures, not independent measurements. A 3 bar rating is the specification to consider for water exposure; it should not be treated as a swimming or diving guarantee. The product page describes the glass as bio-sourced material, not sapphire crystal. Swatch’s listing also promotes replacement straps, but fit and comfort should be confirmed for the specific strap and watch.
What does Bioceramic mean here?
Swatch defines Bioceramic as a composite of two-thirds ceramic used in high-end watchmaking and one-third biosourced material derived from castor oil. That is the brand’s material description: it does not mean the case is all ceramic, and it does not establish a particular level of scratch resistance. How does it wear and feel?
The 42 mm diameter and 47.30 mm lug-to-lug are useful fit references, while the 13.25 mm thickness gives another dimension to compare with watches you already wear. Those figures alone cannot determine how the watch will sit on an individual wrist.
One owner’s 2022 account praised the look and ownership experience but described the stock strap as cheap-feeling. That is one person’s impression, not a representative comfort survey or a durability test. Swatch promotes replacement straps; check the exact product’s compatibility rather than assuming an unverified third-party strap will fit. The owner review concerns this colorway.

What should buyers know about quality concerns?
The available review accounts do not establish a defect rate for SO33M100. The Time Bum reported slight chronograph-hand alignment differences on two watches it handled, but those were other MoonSwatch variants, not a prevalence study of Mission to the Moon. If cosmetic alignment matters to you, inspect the particular watch before buying where possible. The Time Bum’s early collection review is useful only as collection-level context.
A separate hands-on MoonSwatch article discusses the quartz chronograph and the collection’s design tradeoffs, but it covers Mission to Mars rather than this gray model. It should not be treated as a direct test of Mission to the Moon. Fratello’s hands-on article is about that other variant.

How much does it cost, and where can you buy it?
Swatch’s US product page lists the Mission to the Moon at $285. The same page says MoonSwatch models are sold at selected Swatch stores worldwide, limits purchases to one watch per person, per day, per store, and notes shipping may be delayed in some cases. This is US-page pricing and current page guidance, not a promise of local stock or a universal price. Check the official Swatch page for your region before making plans. A separate listing shows $285 as the original retail price and a reseller asking $579. That higher figure is an asking price from a reseller, not Swatch’s retail price or verified market value. Confirm the seller, condition, and exact reference before buying from a third party. The separate listing displays those prices.

Is the Mission to the Moon worth considering?
It is most compelling if you want the Moonwatch-inspired look, a quartz chronograph, and the MoonSwatch design at Swatch’s listed US price. The tradeoffs are clear in the specifications: a Bioceramic composite case, bio-sourced glass rather than sapphire, a VELCRO strap, and 3 bar water resistance. The available owner and review reports can inform what to inspect, but they do not provide controlled testing of accuracy, water resistance, durability, or strap comfort.
