Those figures describe the watch on paper; the available evidence does not establish how it wears, performs or feels in person, so this is a specification-led assessment rather than a firsthand review.
What the Mk II Fulcrum 39 Date is
Mk II lists the date model as the “Fulcrum 39 Date, Dive Bezel (Blk).” It is the date-equipped version of the Fulcrum 39 platform, with a black dive bezel and a Miyota 9015 automatic movement. The maker describes the current Fulcrum 39 as the second iteration of the series, following an original release in 2013, and says the case was reduced from 42.10 mm to 39.50 mm. These are manufacturer descriptions, not independent measurements or a claim of military provenance. Mk II’s product listing says the design draws on elements associated with watches US Special Forces personnel might have encountered in Vietnam or while training with UK counterparts, while explicitly stating that the watch was not designed specifically for military use.

How the dimensions inform fit
The 39.50 mm figure is the bezel diameter, not a full account of how much space the case occupies on a wrist. The listed 47.00 mm end-to-end length and 14.10 mm thickness add useful context, while the 20 mm lug width determines the strap size to look for. The bracelet configuration is listed at 161.5 g, so buyers comparing it with lighter straps should expect a different stated configuration weight; Mk II does not provide a rubber-strap weight in the listing.

These numbers let you compare the watch with a watch you already own, but they cannot establish comfort, balance or whether the case will suit a particular wrist. Those judgments require an on-wrist assessment. In particular, the manufacturer’s broad fit language should not be treated as independent fit data.
Movement, dial and bezel details
Miyota 9015 and date operation
Mk II specifies the Miyota 9015 for this date model and lists automatic winding, manual winding, hacking seconds and a quickset date. Hacking stops the seconds hand when the crown is pulled to the time-setting position; quickset date allows the date to be advanced separately from the hands. The maker also identifies a custom-printed date wheel. Its listing places the date at 4:30, but the available specifications do not establish how legible it is in use.
Bezel, crystal and lume
The bezel is listed as unidirectional with 120 clicks and an anodized aluminum insert. Mk II says the insert was selected with resilience and aging in mind. It describes the double-domed sapphire crystal as a standard design chosen for durability and lower maintenance cost relative to a box crystal. Those are the maker’s design rationales, not comparative test findings. The inside-only anti-reflective coating is a concrete specification; the listing does not claim an exterior coating.

Mk II specifies BGW9 Super-LumiNova and describes lume at the dial’s cardinal points, with five-minute increments. No independent brightness or duration measurements are established here.
Bracelet and strap options
The official listing offers a bracelet or black rubber-strap configuration. The 20 mm bracelet has quick-release bars and tapers to a 16 mm NodeX clasp. Mk II says the quick-release design allows changes to lighter-weight or pass-through straps. If you shop for a NATO-style strap, use the listed 20 mm lug width as your starting point and confirm the exact strap’s width and attachment compatibility; the listing does not specify that every pass-through strap will fit without issue.

When Mk II’s page was checked on October 7, 2026, it displayed a price of $995 and “Sold Out.” The same page also showed a one-week lead-time message, which conflicts with the sold-out status and does not establish a reliable shipping date. No firsthand observations or independent results are established here for bezel alignment or feel, hand alignment, date legibility, lume brightness or duration, timekeeping accuracy, bracelet articulation, clasp usability, strap changes or actual water resistance. A 200 m rating is the published specification, not proof of performance by this particular watch under use.
