The fifth MONOCHROME Montre de Souscription is a 37 mm, hand-wound Angelus monopusher chronograph with a gold-coloured dial and tachymeter scale. The limited edition was capped at 20 numbered watches and offered through a temporary subscription campaign in January 2026. Its launch price was €18,500 excluding VAT; that historical price and campaign do not establish whether a watch is available now.
What is the Montre de Souscription 5?
It is a collaboration between MONOCHROME Watches and Angelus, identified by Angelus as the Chronographe Tachymètre x Monochrome and by MONOCHROME as Montre de Souscription 5. The Angelus reference is 0CHCS.H01A.V1271S. It is the fifth release in MONOCHROME’s subscription series.
Angelus describes it as: “Partnering with Monochrome, this thin, compact, hand-wound chronograph with a mono-pusher architecture is released under Monochrome’s signature subscription campaign.” Angelus product page.
Case and dial: a compact chronograph with a racing scale
The stainless-steel case measures 37 mm across and 9.25 mm thick. Its surfaces combine brushing and polishing, and it has a box sapphire crystal, sapphire-window caseback and 30 m water resistance. A fluted crown incorporates the chronograph pusher.

The 2N yellow-gold-coloured galvanic dial contrasts with applied rhodium-plated indexes and numerals. Syringe-style hands carry Super-LumiNova. Its grained main surface is paired with snailed recessed sub-counters and a grey, snailed tachymeter scale. The scale uses a base of 1,000 and is marked from 500 to 30.
The choice of scale distinguishes this design from the telemeter version of the related Angelus monopusher chronograph. MONOCHROME says it chose a tachymeter because of its interest in cars and racing.

How the A5000 monopusher movement works
The watch is powered by the manually wound A5000 calibre. Its monopusher architecture puts chronograph control in the crown: the integrated pusher operates the chronograph, rather than using separate start, stop and reset pushers. The calibre uses a column wheel and horizontal clutch.

The MONOCHROME shop listing describes gold-toned plates and bridges, Geneva stripes and polished chamfers. Its shop page says the movement was made by Angelus in La Chaux-de-Fonds, while MONOCHROME’s launch article attributes it to La Joux-Perret. Angelus’s product page confirms the A5000 designation but does not resolve the discrepancy, so the maker’s location is not consistently established in these sources.

Edition size, subscription terms and launch price
The edition was limited to 20 numbered pieces. MONOCHROME announced the campaign on 27 January 2026 as a temporary offer, ending after 10 days or when all pieces were claimed. Its later launch article also gives a 10-day window, but the shop listing describes the period as two weeks; the published terms therefore differ on duration.
The shop listed a launch price of €18,500 excluding VAT and a non-refundable deposit of €5,000, also excluding VAT. MONOCHROME’s launch article said the price included insured international shipping and a two-year Angelus warranty, and noted potential US import tariffs. These are launch terms, not confirmation of a present-day offer.

Is it still available?
The subscription campaign was in January 2026, and the shop listing gave April 2026 as the expected delivery date. The available product information does not confirm whether any pieces remain available or whether deliveries took place on schedule. Treat the campaign price and deposit as historical terms, and check directly with MONOCHROME or Angelus for current stock or delivery information.
