The best-documented current version, the V2, is reported with a Sellita SW200-1 movement, 200m water resistance, sapphire crystal and a 120-click unidirectional bezel. Its published dimensions are compact for a mechanical diver: 40.5mm across and 48mm lug-to-lug. The official Polar White V2 listing showed the watch sold out when checked on October 8, 2026, so its listed price is not a guarantee of availability.
Which Montoir MWMOD-01 version is this?
The unqualified name “MWMOD-01” can refer to the original diver launched in 2023 or to the later MWMOD-01 V2. MONOCHROME describes the V2 as a follow-up to the first model; the official product listing names the Polar White model “MWMOD-01 V2.” Most of the detailed specifications available for the family concern the V2, so check the version name on the listing or watch before applying those details. MONOCHROME’s V2 coverage and Montoir’s product page identify the newer model; WatchReport’s 2023 account concerns an early production sample of the original.
Montoir MWMOD-01 V2 specifications
| Specification | Reported detail |
|---|---|
| Case | Stainless steel; 40.5mm diameter and 48mm lug-to-lug, according to MONOCHROME. |
| Thickness | 11.95mm, according to MONOCHROME; Mainspring Watch Magazine reports 11.5mm including crystal. |
| Water resistance | 200m, as reported by MONOCHROME and Mainspring Watch Magazine. |
| Bezel | 120-click, unidirectional. |
| Crystal | Double-domed sapphire with three anti-reflective coatings, according to MONOCHROME. |
| Movement | Sellita SW200-1 automatic; 26 jewels and 28,800 vibrations per hour, according to MONOCHROME. |
| Power reserve | 38 hours, according to MONOCHROME and Mainspring Watch Magazine. |
| Dial and lume | No date display; Super-LumiNova BGW9 on indices and hands, according to MONOCHROME. |
| Strap | 20mm tropic-style recycled FKM strap with quick-release levers, according to MONOCHROME. |
These are published model specifications, not results of an independent laboratory test. MONOCHROME reports the movement’s average accuracy rating as +/-12 seconds per day; that is a stated rating, not a measured result for every watch. The SW200-1 has a date function, but the V2 is described as a no-date watch, leaving that movement function unused in this configuration. Read the Mainspring Watch Magazine V2 review alongside MONOCHROME’s specification coverage; their thickness figures differ, so the safest description is roughly 12mm rather than a single uncontested measurement.
What is known about the original MWMOD-01?
WatchReport’s 2023 article describes an early production sample of the original MWMOD-01 with a 40.5mm case, 11.5mm thickness, 48mm lug-to-lug, 20mm lug width, 120-click bezel, domed sapphire crystal, BGW9 lume, Sellita SW200-1 and 200m water resistance. Because that was explicitly an early sample, its prototype observations should not be read as confirmed production defects or assumed to describe the V2.

How does the V2 wear and function as a diver?
A 40.5mm diameter and 48mm lug-to-lug give the V2 a footprint that may suit buyers looking for a diver smaller than many contemporary 42mm-plus cases. The reported height is about 12mm, though the two published measurements differ slightly. Its 20mm strap width provides a common nominal sizing reference, and the included V2 strap is reported to have quick-release levers. Width alone does not guarantee a replacement strap will fit: check the spring bars, end shape and case clearance before ordering.
The 120-click unidirectional bezel, screw-down crown and 200m rating are conventional dive-watch features on paper. A 200m rating is a published specification, not proof that an individual watch is suitable for a particular dive or that its seals remain sound after wear or service. For actual underwater use, follow the manufacturer’s guidance and have water resistance checked when appropriate.

Is the Montoir MWMOD-01 V2 worth considering?
The V2’s reported combination of a Swiss automatic movement, sapphire crystal, 200m water resistance, 120-click bezel and 40.5mm case makes it worth comparing if those features suit your priorities. Whether it is a good purchase depends on the actual version, confirmed in-stock price, wrist fit, and the support available where you live. Before buying, compare:

MONOCHROME’s article carries a sponsored-post disclosure, so its coverage is useful for the reported specifications but should be read with that context in mind. Montoir also published a brand-authored article about the V2; manufacturer material is useful for checking the brand’s own claims, not independent validation: Montoir’s V2 article.
