The Montoir MWMOD-01 V2 is a 40.5 mm automatic skin diver with a reported 200 m water-resistance rating, sapphire crystal and a customized Sellita movement. Introduced in January 2025 as a revision of Montoir’s first dive watch, it pairs modest published dimensions with a broader range of dial colors. Availability is less certain: the official collection page snapshot showed all 11 listed V2 variants as sold out.
What is the Montoir MWMOD-01 V2?
The V2 is the second version of Montoir’s inaugural dive-watch model. Time+Tide described it as a refinement of the original MWMOD-01, with the expanded dial-color selection as the most notable change. The design is a restrained, skin-diver-style watch rather than an oversized modern diver.
The figures and specifications below are those reported in Time+Tide’s January 2025 coverage; they have not been independently measured or tested for this article.

Time+Tide also describes a flat bezel and an engraved caseback depicting a diving helmet. The published 200 m rating and screw-down crown are specifications, not evidence of an independent pressure test. The available coverage does not establish independent movement inspection, accuracy testing or long-term reliability.

How big is the Montoir MWMOD-01 V2?
Its reported 40.5 mm diameter, 11.95 mm thickness and 48 mm lug-to-lug span give a clearer sense of scale than diameter alone. Time+Tide presents those proportions as relatively compact beside larger contemporary dive watches. Actual wrist fit will still depend on wrist shape and the way the strap sits; no independent measurements or wrist-fit test are available here.
What does the V2 look like?
The launch lineup included black, blue, polar white, green, mint green, salmon and cool grey dials. The no-date layout uses a triangular marker at 12 o’clock and luminous hands and hour markers. Time+Tide reports a black seconds hand on most versions and an orange one on the navy-blue model. Those are launch-era color details, not a complete account of every variant later shown by Montoir.

The watch was reported with a black FKM rubber Tropic-style strap, except for a matching blue strap on the blue version. The 20 mm lug width and quick-release bars may make strap changes convenient, but width alone does not confirm that any particular replacement strap will fit correctly.
What movement is in the MWMOD-01 V2?
Time+Tide identifies a customized Sellita SW200-1 with its date mechanism removed, matching the V2’s no-date dial. The article reports a 38-hour power reserve after a full wind. These are published movement details; the movement was not independently inspected for this article.

Is the Montoir MWMOD-01 V2 available now?
The official Montoir collection page snapshot showed 11 V2 variants marked sold out. It displayed prices of $379 or $425 alongside a crossed-out $750, but those listings are a snapshot rather than confirmation of current stock or an active offer. Check the official Montoir collection for the live listing before making a purchase decision. A sold-out status there does not establish that no other seller or resale listing exists.
