Monochrome Watches reported the models, specifications, announced production quantities and tax-included Japanese launch prices on 16 May 2022. Those figures describe the launch, not present-day availability or resale value.
What changed with the third-generation case?
Monochrome Watches reported that all five watches use a 37 mm 904L stainless-steel case, with brushed sides, polished flat surfaces and bezel, revised lugs, and a screwed caseback in place of the earlier snap-on backs. The article gives the redesigned case a water-resistance rating of 50 m. It also notes that bezel profiles vary by model.
The reported dimensions are compact across the range: the NH Type1D and Type1D-1 measure 9.8 mm thick, while the Type2C and Type3B Moon are 10.8 mm thick. Each is listed with a 44 mm lug-to-lug measurement. The article does not state thickness or lug-to-lug figures for the Type2C-1 Lettercutter separately.
How the five references differ
The collection spans three display approaches: small seconds on the Type1 watches, central seconds on the Type2 watches, and a moon-phase display without a second hand on the Type3B Moon. The table summarizes the details and launch-era figures reported by Monochrome Watches in 2022; it is not a current price or stock list.

The quantities and prices in the last two columns are figures reported by Monochrome Watches in 2022. The article does not establish whether production was completed as announced, what any watch sells for now, or whether any example is currently available.
What the movement names tell you—and what they do not
Monochrome describes the calibres as reworked movements based on Valjoux ébauches: 3019SS for small seconds, 3020CS for central seconds, and 3021LU for the moon-phase and calendar complication. It specifically identifies the 3021LU as based on the Valjoux 7751. These are the publication’s descriptions; the cited article is not an official technical document, so the lineage and specifications should be attributed to it rather than treated as independently confirmed manufacturer data.

Brice Goulard, the article’s author, wrote that “The beauty of these watches certainly is more on the habillage than on the calibres.” That is his assessment of the collection, not a statement from Naoya Hida & Co.

This is a dated collection introduction, not a guide to buying one today. In its 16 May 2022 overview, Monochrome Watches described the five references, their reported case and movement details, announced quantities, and Japanese prices inclusive of tax. It also reported the Type2C-1 Lettercutter as exclusive to The Armoury at launch. That historical retailer detail does not establish a current commercial relationship or current inventory.
