What is the Nivada Grenchen Antarctic Diver No Date?
It is the no-date configuration of Nivada Grenchen’s Antarctic Diver: the dial omits a date window, while the watch retains the line’s vintage-inspired diver styling. Nivada Grenchen says the Antarctic Diver was first introduced in the 1960s and presents the current model as a revival of that design; this is the manufacturer’s account of the lineage.
The brand describes the no-date edition as paying tribute to vintage dive watches with “clean balance and maximum legibility.” That is Nivada Grenchen’s positioning, not an independently verified assessment of legibility.

How big is the Antarctic Diver?
The listed 38 mm diameter is the case width, while 12.9 mm is its thickness. Nivada Grenchen’s history/specification page gives a 45 mm lug-to-lug measurement and a 20 mm lug width. Those dimensions offer more useful context than diameter alone when comparing the watch with one you already own. No independent wrist-fit or comfort assessment is established here.
What movement does the no-date version use?
The product listing names an automatic Soprod P024 movement and specifies a 38-hour power reserve. Those are the manufacturer’s published movement details; the available information does not establish an independent accuracy or performance test.

Is the no-date version 200 m water resistant?
The official information does not give a consistent answer. Promotional copy on the product listing says 20 ATM/200 m, but a separate specification block on that same page says 10 ATM/100 m. The brand’s history/specification page lists 20 ATM/200 m. Because the product page conflicts with itself, do not treat 200 m as settled for every version: ask Nivada Grenchen to confirm the rating for the exact reference before using the watch in water.
What strap fits the Antarctic Diver?
Nivada Grenchen lists a 20 mm lug width and strap options that include leather, Tropic rubber, a flat-link bracelet, and a beads-of-rice bracelet. The product listing also gives a 20 × 16 mm strap dimension. For an aftermarket strap, check that it is compatible with the watch’s lug width and confirm the taper or end fit; the stated 20 mm lug width alone does not guarantee every strap will fit neatly.

The choice is primarily about display preference and the material or style you want. Leather, rubber, and the two bracelet styles are distinct options, but the available specifications do not establish comparative comfort, diving suitability, or maintenance requirements. Check the current price for each configuration rather than assuming the listed options cost the same.
No-date or date: which should you choose?
The no-date version keeps the dial free of a date window; a date version adds that everyday calendar function. Choose the no-date configuration if you prefer a dial without a date display, and the date version if you expect to use that function. The brand’s description of a cleaner, more legible layout is promotional language rather than a comparative test result.
