The Chronosport is a modern commercial take on a 1970s-style chronograph. On this variant, white Super-LumiNova stick indexes, lume dots, and matching hands stand out against a matte black dial. Fratello’s hands-on article says Nivada made “20 or so” prototypes before deciding whether to commercialize the design. It describes the case as drawing on the vintage Chronosport and the dial as inspired by the Nivada Racing Dial Chronograph; this is design context reported by the publication, not a verified production statistic.

Fit, thickness, and wearing considerations
The 38 mm diameter is only one part of the fit. The 44.3 mm lug-to-lug measurement gives a better indication of how far the case spans across the wrist, while the 15.7 mm thickness includes the crystal and may affect how the watch sits under a cuff. The 20 mm interface identifies the nominal strap width, but it does not establish that every aftermarket strap or bracelet will fit; confirm the end fitting and included hardware for the specific configuration.
Price and availability: distinguish launch terms from current listings
Fratello listed launch prices of US$2,180 on a strap and US$2,380 on a bracelet, excluding taxes and duties. Those were 2024 launch figures, not verified current manufacturer prices. The launch article described a preorder offer ending August 25, 2024, with first deliveries expected in late October 2024; individual numbering applied to preorder watches within that period.
