Did Nixon update its Star Wars watch collection?
Not according to the available official evidence. Nixon’s retrospective article, dated January 9, 2018, says the company began releasing Star Wars watches in 2015, spanning characters from Jedi and Sith to Stormtroopers and Rebel Pilots. It is a history of the collection, not an announcement of a recent update. Nixon’s Star Wars collection article names earlier models including the Time Teller Rey, Charger Chrono Darth Vader, Unit Death Trooper, 51-30 Death Star, Ranger Chrono Jedi Knight, 51-30 Han Solo, Unit Boba Fett, Time Teller R2-D2 and Ranger Chrono Millennium Falcon.
The Imperial Pilot and Stormtrooper watches appear in retailer listings as existing Nixon models, but those listings do not establish a new release, changed specifications or current direct sales by Nixon. Nixon’s broader collaborations gallery likewise does not confirm that Star Wars watches have been relaunched.

The Unit 40 Imperial Pilot, reference A490SW2242, is listed with a black dial, custom digital movement, 40 mm diameter, 14 mm thickness and 100 m water resistance. At 40 mm, it is the smaller of these two listed watches. The listing does not provide a detailed breakdown of the digital movement’s functions.

Stormtrooper: 44 mm watch with multiple functions
The Unit Stormtrooper, reference A197SW2243, is listed with a white dial, 44 mm diameter and 100 m water resistance. Its stated features include an alarm, annual calendar, big date, chronograph, day/night display and dual-time/GMT. The listing does not state its case thickness.
A separate, larger Stormtrooper model
A historical product catalog hosted by Boba Fett Fan Club also describes a Stormtrooper 51-30, a different cataloged model from the 44 mm Unit Stormtrooper. The catalog gives it a 51 mm case and 300 meter/30 ATM rating, along with a rotating countdown bezel and character-specific dial and case details. Are Nixon Star Wars watches still available?
The two cited retailer pages showed the Imperial Pilot and Unit Stormtrooper as out of stock when accessed. That describes those pages only: it does not rule out new-old-stock or secondhand examples elsewhere. The evidence does not establish current Nixon-direct availability, broader resale inventory or market value.

On the listed specifications, the Imperial Pilot is the smaller option and has a stated custom digital movement; the 44 mm Unit Stormtrooper has a longer list of stated calendar, chronograph and timekeeping functions. Both retailer listings state 100 m water resistance.
