Each of the 31 color versions was limited to 175 pieces. NOMOS announced on June 14, 2024 that all 31 versions had arrived at selected retailers worldwide. What defines the Tangente 38 Date?
The Tangente’s restrained dial design combines Bauhaus-associated numeral typography with small seconds and an oversized date display. On the date model, NOMOS says the date ring sits around the movement, making a large date window near the edge of the dial possible. The slim case profile is a central feature of the design.

The date editions use the hand-wound DUW 4101. NOMOS lists approximately 42 hours of power reserve and says the movement is regulated according to chronometer values. This wording describes the manufacturer’s claim; it should not be read as evidence of an external chronometer certificate.

How does it compare with other Tangente 38 models?
The practical distinction is the date function. The special editions pair a large date display with DUW 4101, while NOMOS’s standard no-date Tangente 38 uses DUW 4001. The manufacturer lists approximately 53 hours of reserve for that no-date movement, compared with approximately 42 hours for the Love date variant.

What should you consider before choosing one?
- Fit: Do not assume that “38” means a 38 mm case. The Love reference measures 37.5 mm across and 47.7 mm lug-to-lug; compare those dimensions with watches that already fit your wrist.
- Date legibility: The large date is a defining feature of the date model. If you do not need a date display, the no-date Tangente 38 has a different movement and NOMOS lists a longer reserve for it.
