Nomad Watch Works is worth considering if you want a strap in a specific width, including a custom size, or a straightforward nylon NATO. Delugs and Artem offer other material choices and publish different warranty terms. The useful comparison is not which brand is “best” in the abstract: it is whether the exact strap fits your watch, suits your intended use, and comes with terms you accept.
Compare the strap for your watch, not the brand name
Before comparing price or warranty, establish the watch’s lug width and connector type. A strap with the wrong width will not fit standard lugs, and a proprietary connector can rule out ordinary straps even when their width looks close. Then compare the individual product’s length, taper, material, hardware, and attachment method. Brand-level catalogs do not guarantee that every product has the same specifications.

- Fit: Check lug width, wrist-size range, strap length, and taper. Confirm whether the strap uses standard spring bars or a watch-specific connector.
- Material and construction: Compare the product’s stated material, thickness, stitching, and buckle or clasp. Treat those as specifications, not proof of comfort or longevity.
- Price and availability: Compare the same currency and market, and account for shipping, stock, and variant differences.
- After-sale terms: Read exchange rules separately from defect warranties; they address different problems.
What each maker offers
Nomad Watch Works: stocked widths and custom options
Nomad says it began in 2018 as a NATO strap specialist, moved into its current showroom in 2024, and refreshed its brand in 2025. Its current FAQ describes leather, rubber, and fabric straps, with ready-made options intended for many watch brands and models. It also offers custom work for unusual lug or connector requirements and says it specializes in custom leather straps, with choices such as material, stitching, length, and buckle. Nomad Watch Works FAQ
Nomad’s sizing guidance lists ready-stock widths of 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 24, and 26 mm; it says other widths can be custom made. This is useful if your watch has a less common lug width, but custom availability does not remove the need to confirm the connector and final measurements with the maker. Delugs: multiple material categories
Delugs describes handcrafted leather, cut-to-size rubber, sailcloth, and fabric straps. Its stated lifetime warranty covers manufacturing defects. That statement alone does not establish coverage for ordinary wear, so check the current policy and the specific product terms before relying on it. Delugs strap and warranty information
Artem: fit guidance and a stated two-year warranty
Artem promotes premium straps and provides product fit guidance based on wrist size. Its site states a two-year warranty against cracks, peeling, and stitch failure. Those are the stated terms; warranty wording is not independent evidence that an Artem strap will outlast another maker’s product. Artem product and warranty information

A concrete Nomad NATO example
One current Nomad ballistic-nylon NATO listing specifies stitched construction, stainless-steel hardware, 1.25 mm thickness, and an adjustable length of 280 mm. The listing displays SGD 19. That is the displayed price for the cited listing, not a general price for Nomad straps; price and variant availability can change. Check the live listing, shipping, and available variant before ordering. Nomad ballistic-nylon NATO listing
The listing says a manufacturing defect reported within 30 days leads to replacement at no additional cost. It excludes normal wear and tear, as well as damage from accidents, misuse, or neglect. Check the fit before you buy
What is the lug width of my watch?
Nomad recommends checking the watch maker’s published specification or measuring the distance between the lugs. Match that measurement to the strap’s stated width. If the watch uses a proprietary connector, confirm compatibility rather than relying on a width measurement alone. Nomad sizing guidance
What if I ordered the wrong size?
Nomad’s FAQ says an incorrectly sized strap may be exchanged if it is brand new and unworn; shipping fees apply. That exchange condition is separate from the cited NATO listing’s manufacturing-defect replacement policy. Confirm the current terms for the exact item before ordering. Nomad sizing guidance

How do I change my watch strap?
Nomad says strap-changing tools are available separately. Before using a spring-bar tool, verify that the watch uses removable spring bars and follow the watch maker’s guidance; a tool is not a substitute for confirming that the new strap fits. Nomad strap-changing guidance
Which option makes sense for your priorities?
- Consider Nomad if its available leather, rubber, or fabric options suit your needs, you want the cited nylon NATO configuration, or you need to ask about a custom width or connector.
- Consider Delugs if you are comparing its leather, cut-to-size rubber, sailcloth, or fabric categories and want to review its manufacturing-defect warranty terms.
- Consider Artem if its product fit guidance and stated two-year coverage for cracks, peeling, and stitch failure match the product you are considering.
These are catalog and policy distinctions, not a hands-on ranking. The available product descriptions do not establish which strap is more comfortable or durable in use. Choose by exact fit, material, construction, price in your market, and the policy attached to the specific product.
