NOMOS Glashütte announced a white-dial version of the Ahoi neomatik 38 date on June 19, 2025, adding a fourth dial option alongside Atlantic, Sky and Sand. The 38.5 mm stainless-steel sports watch pairs a silver-plated white dial with pale-blue hour and minute hands, a red seconds hand and a date display. It is offered as reference 525 with a sapphire display back or 525.SB with a closed steel back.
What changed with the white-dial Ahoi?
The white version joins the Atlantic, Sky and Sand Ahoi neomatik 38 date models. Its bright dial gives the same date-equipped Ahoi format a different look rather than introducing a new movement or case size. NOMOS describes the dial as silver-plated white, with light-blue hour and minute hands, a red seconds hand, and rectangular markers at five-minute intervals. The company also says the hands and hour markers have Super-LumiNova.
Case, movement and everyday capability
- Case: stainless steel, 38.5 mm in diameter.
- Water resistance: 20 atm, according to NOMOS’s June 19, 2025 launch release. The watch has a screw-down crown protected by crown guards.
- Movement: automatic DUW 6101 date caliber. NOMOS identifies its proprietary NOMOS swing system and describes the caliber as a patented date movement.
- Strap: Monochrome reports a blue-black textile strap and 20 mm lug width.
The Atlantic sibling’s NOMOS fact sheet, marked May 2025, lists a 9.8 mm thickness and up to 42 hours of power reserve. Those are sibling-model specifications, not a white-model fact sheet. Fratello’s June 2025 report on the white versions gives a thickness of 9.8 mm for the closed-back 525.SB and 9.9 mm for the display-back 525, with about 42 hours of reserve.
What is the difference between references 525 and 525.SB?
The key distinction is the caseback: reference 525 has a sapphire exhibition back for viewing the movement, while 525.SB has a closed steel back. Fratello and Monochrome reported the following prices at the June 19, 2025 launch:

It is best described as a water-resistant sports or all-rounder watch. NOMOS specifies 20 atm resistance, but that figure alone does not establish dive-watch certification. Monochrome also notes that the Ahoi has no rotating bezel. The available sources do not establish a dive certification for this model.
