NOMOS’s Club Campus Starlight and Night Sky release comprises four hand-wound watches: each dial color comes in a 36 mm and a 38.5 mm case. Starlight is yellow; Night Sky is deep blue. Both pair Roman and Arabic numerals, and their steel casebacks leave room for engraving. The two sizes differ in thickness and strap width as well as diameter, so the right choice depends on wrist fit and the look you want—not diameter alone.
What is new in the Club Campus Starlight and Night Sky release?
NOMOS announced the colorways on February 20, 2025, framing the watches as markers of personal milestones. The Japanese distributor’s May 16, 2025 release listed four references: Starlight and Night Sky, each in 36 mm and 38.5 mm. What is the difference between Starlight and Night Sky?
The main distinction is the dial color: Starlight is vivid yellow, while Night Sky is dark blue. Both use the Club Campus’s playful mix of Roman and Arabic numerals. The Japanese release also describes luminous indices and colored minute-marker accents. Both colors are offered in two case sizes. The available material does not establish that one color has a different case design from the other; the practical distinctions to check are the selected reference’s dimensions and movement specification.
What size is the NOMOS Club Campus Starlight?
The 36 mm and 38.5 mm options differ in more than diameter. The measurements below come from NOMOS’s current Starlight 718.GB product page and the distributor’s Japanese release; the latter does not give a lug-to-lug measurement for the 38.5 mm models.

For the 36 mm Starlight, NOMOS lists a stainless-steel case, domed sapphire crystal, sapphire crystal glass back, and 44.3 mm lug-to-lug length. The 38.5 mm case is 0.3 mm thicker and takes a wider strap, according to the distributor’s specifications. Since lug-to-lug length for the larger models is not provided here, diameter alone cannot settle how either size will sit across a particular wrist.
How to choose between 36 mm and 38.5 mm
- Choose based on how much dial and case presence you prefer, then consider the 18 mm or 20 mm strap width when selecting straps.
- Compare lug-to-lug measurements if wrist coverage is a deciding factor. NOMOS gives 44.3 mm for the 36 mm Starlight; the cited Japanese release does not provide that measurement for the 38.5 mm models.
- Try the exact size on if possible. These measurements do not establish that either size will fit everyone better.
What movement do the watches use?
Movement details differ across the available reference-specific records, so do not assume one caliber or power reserve applies to all four models. NOMOS’s current Starlight 718.GB page lists hand-wound caliber DUW 4001 with a power reserve of up to 53 hours. Those records do not explain why the movement specifications differ, and they do not establish the current movement and reserve for the two 38.5 mm references. Check the manufacturer’s current page for the exact reference before buying.
How much does the NOMOS Club Campus cost?
Josawa Company’s Japanese launch announcement dated May 16, 2025 listed tax-inclusive launch prices of ¥286,000 for the 36 mm variants and ¥308,000 for the 38.5 mm variants, with release planned for mid-May 2025. These are Japan launch prices, not current worldwide pricing. Current prices and availability in other markets are not established by the cited materials.

Is the Club Campus suitable for swimming?
NOMOS lists 10 atm water resistance for the 36 mm Starlight 718.GB and describes it as suitable for swimming. The February 2025 Night Sky 719 fact sheet also lists 10 atm. For other references, confirm the current specification with NOMOS. Water resistance is a stated specification, not a guarantee against damage under every condition; follow the manufacturer’s care guidance and ensure the watch is properly maintained.
