Tissot lists two official FKM rubber strap options for 40 mm PRX models: black reference T852.048.462 and blue reference T852.049.577. The manufacturer describes the black strap as compatible with all 40 mm PRX models; that does not establish fit for smaller PRX watches. Confirm your exact watch reference with Tissot before ordering.
Which official PRX rubber strap fits?
Tissot identifies the black T852.048.462 as compatible with PRX models measuring 40 mm in diameter. The blue T852.049.577 is the corresponding 40 mm option listed by Tissot. The manufacturer calls both straps fluorocarbon (FKM) rubber. These specifications do not establish compatibility with smaller PRX sizes, so do not assume a strap fits solely because the watch is a PRX or a Powermatic 80.
Tissot’s black strap product page gives its compatibility wording as “Original Tissot rubber strap compatible with all PRX models with a diameter of 40mm.” See the blue strap product page for the other official color and its specifications.

How Tissot says the quick-release system works
Tissot describes the PRX’s interchangeable strap system as tool-free. On its PRX Powermatic 80 40 mm page for reference T137.407.11.351.00, the brand says: “The easy unlock system enables to remove the strap easily and quickly without the need of a tool.” That is the manufacturer’s description of the system, not an independent assessment of installation or fit for either rubber reference.
Check your watch reference before ordering
- Find the exact reference number for your PRX. Do not rely on “Powermatic 80” alone; PRX models differ in case size.
- Use Tissot’s strap collection compatibility search with that reference, then confirm the result on the strap’s product page.
- If compatibility is unclear, ask Tissot to confirm the strap for your specific watch reference before purchase.
What this overview can—and cannot—tell you
The published specifications identify the official 40 mm options, materials, dimensions and buckle type. They do not establish how either strap feels on the wrist, how it compares with the stock bracelet, how easy it is to install in practice, or how it holds up over time.
