The Omega 125th Anniversary pocket watch is reference 518.62.60.00.04.001, a 60 mm half-hunter made in a limited edition of 19. Omega lists it as no longer available, so there is no current official retail price. Monochrome Watches reported a launch price of CHF 207,300 or EUR 205,300 in 2021; a US$233,900 figure shown by one retailer in 2026 is an asking-price snapshot, not a verified sale.
What is the Omega 125th Anniversary pocket watch?
Reference 518.62.60.00.04.001 is a commemorative half-hunter pocket watch made for the 125th anniversary of the Omega name. Its 19-piece edition and unusually large, heavy case make it a rare collector object rather than a practical everyday timekeeper.
It should not be confused with Omega’s 1994 centenary wristwatches: this pocket watch belongs to the 2019 anniversary story. Omega’s history traces the company’s first workshop to Louis Brandt in 1848. In 1894, his sons Louis-Paul and César created a 19-ligne calibre named “Omega”; the company adopted OMEGA as its name in 1903. For the 2019 anniversary watch, Omega said its watchmakers would recreate 19 movements using original components retrieved from storage.
Omega CEO Raynald Aeschlimann described the significance of the name in the company’s 2019 anniversary account: “Today, we are truly proud to represent such an iconic name. OMEGA is the only watchmaker to be named after a movement, which proves our commitment to the art of precision.” Omega’s 2019 anniversary history

Omega’s product page currently marks this reference as no longer available. It does not establish a present official retail price or a verified completed-sale value for the watch.
| Price reference | What it represents |
|---|---|
| CHF 207,300 or EUR 205,300 | Launch price reported by Monochrome Watches in 2021; not a current quote. Monochrome Watches |
| US$233,900 | Asking price displayed by Kenjo in a 2026 listing observed as sold out; it is one retailer’s snapshot, not an official Omega price or proof of a completed sale. Kenjo listing |
These figures come from different dates, currencies and kinds of price evidence, so they should not be treated as directly comparable. For a resale listing, check condition, completeness, provenance and service history, and verify the seller’s authentication process. An asking price is not the same as a realized transaction.

- [ No Battery, Ever ]: This mechanical pocket watch runs on a hand wound mainspring, so there is no battery to buy, charge, or replace. It opens front and back to reveal the movement inside, and comes with a chain ready to clip onto a vest or belt loop.
- [ Roaring 20s Railroad Style ]: Styled after classic railroad conductor pocket watches, this vintage-inspired timepiece is a go-to accessory for Great Gatsby parties, 1920s costumes, and steampunk looks. The included metal chain measures 14 inches (365mm) and clips easily into place for that finishing touch.
- [ A Gift He'll Actually Use ]: The double cover pocketwatch and chain make a classic gift for groomsmen, dads, and grandfathers, for weddings, Valentine's Day, Christmas, birthdays, or retirement. Engrave the back cover for a personal touch he can carry for years.
- [ Skeleton Design for Watch Lovers ]: A see-through skeleton dial exposes the gears and mechanical movement in motion, a detail steampunk fans and watch collectors look for. The case and chain are solid metal, built to feel substantial in the hand.
- [ 17-Jewel Mechanical Movement ]: Built with a 17 jewel hand wind movement, a silver tone case, and an engravable back cover. Chain measures 14 inches (365mm). This pocket watch is not water resistant, so keep it away from rain, pools, and running water.
What are the case, dial and movement like?
Half-hunter case and materials
Omega specifies a 60 mm case in 18K Canopus Gold with 18K Sedna Gold covers and red enamel decoration. The front cover opens to reveal a three-level white Grand Feu enamel dial with Sedna Gold hands. On the back, a Chronos medallion and red enamel anniversary logo decorate the cover, while a domed sapphire crystal provides a view of the movement.
Dimensions and practical limitations
| Specification | Omega-listed value |
|---|---|
| Case diameter | 60 mm |
| Thickness | 21.63 mm |
| Approximate total product weight | 482 g |
| Water resistance | 3 bar (30 m/100 ft) |
At approximately 482 g, this is a substantial object to carry. Its 3 bar water resistance is modest; it should be treated as a dress or display piece, not as a watch for swimming or other water activity.

Hand-wound OMEGA 1894 calibre
The watch uses the manual-winding OMEGA 1894 calibre, with an Omega-reported power reserve of 35 hours. Omega says Atelier Tourbillon watchmakers reconstructed the historic 19-ligne calibre, incorporating original components that had been stored for almost a century. The official product page calls the model a chronometer. A specialist account additionally describes the movement as a Master Grade chronometer with 23 jewels and a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour; those extra movement details are specialist reporting, not specifications stated on Omega’s current product page.
What should a buyer check on the secondary market?
With only 19 examples, a listing may be difficult to compare with another example, and the figures available from sellers do not by themselves establish market value. Before considering a purchase, ask for evidence that supports both the watch’s identity and its condition:

- 【Hand-Wind Mechanical Movement】 Enjoy traditional mechanical timekeeping without batteries. Simply wind the pocket watch manually before use to power the movement, bringing the classic experience of a traditional wind-up watch to everyday carry or display.

- 【Vintage Bronze-Tone Design】 Finished in an antique bronze tone with decorative engraved patterns and classic Roman numeral hour markers, this mechanical pocket watch delivers an old-world look that pairs naturally with suits, waistcoats, vintage outfits and steampunk-inspired styling.
- 【45 mm Pocket Watch with Chain】 The watch measures approximately 45 mm in diameter and includes a 25 cm chain for attaching to a vest, suit or pocket. Its traditional round profile combines decorative styling with convenient everyday carrying.
- 【Gift-Ready Presentation】 Presented in an elegant gift box with the pocket watch, chain and instruction manual inside. Its visible mechanical movement and vintage appearance make it a distinctive gift for fathers, husbands, boyfriends, sons and collectors for birthdays, Father’s Day, Christmas, anniversaries and other special occasions.
- Confirm the reference, 518.62.60.00.04.001, and request clear photographs of the watch, case details and movement.
- Establish what is included and whether the watch is complete; do not assume a chain or braided leather cord is included or compatible without confirmation.
- Request provenance and available service records, and have the seller explain how authenticity is verified.
- Assess condition carefully, including the gold covers, enamel decoration, dial and sapphire crystal.
- Compare asking prices with completed transactions only when both are documented and the condition and completeness are meaningfully comparable.
Verdict
The 125th Anniversary pocket watch turns Omega’s 1894 movement origin into a literal centerpiece: a reconstructed hand-wound calibre inside an elaborate gold-and-enamel half-hunter. Its 19-piece production, 60 mm case and roughly 482 g weight define it as a historically themed collector piece, not a conventional daily-wear watch. Omega lists it as unavailable, and the published price figures are dated or retailer-specific rather than a current official valuation.
