For a meaningful comparison, identify the reference and market first. One steel example, reference 131.10.29.20.02.001, has a 29 mm case, automatic Calibre 8700 and a 50-hour power reserve; Omega’s Japan listings show different prices for different configurations.
Which 29 mm Constellation is being considered?
Omega’s 29 mm Constellation Co-Axial Master Chronometer range includes variations in case and bracelet material, dial, bezel treatment and diamond setting. Those differences matter for specifications and price, so use the reference number—not just “Constellation 29 mm”—when comparing listings.
Two steel references on Omega Japan illustrate the variation. Reference 131.10.29.20.02.001 has a silver dial, Roman numeral bezel and steel bracelet. Reference 131.10.29.20.52.001 is described as having a silver dial with diamond hour markers and a diamond-set bezel. Check Omega’s Japan product listings for the exact current description and price of the reference you want.
Specifications of reference 131.10.29.20.02.001
Omega’s official Japan listing gives these specifications for this particular steel configuration. They should not be assumed to apply to every 29 mm variant.

What Master Chronometer and Co-Axial mean here
Omega describes Calibre 8700 as a METAS-certified Master Chronometer and says the movement resists magnetic fields of at least 1.5 tesla (15,000 gauss). These are manufacturer claims for the watch, not independent test results in this article. Omega’s Hong Kong product description says, “The Co-Axial escapement is designed to reduce friction inside the movement.” That design statement does not by itself establish a particular service interval or real-world accuracy outcome.

Price: use the reference and market, not a single range-wide figure
Omega Japan’s official listings, accessed in 2026, surfaced prices of ¥1,265,000 and ¥1,320,000 for steel 29 mm configurations. The available listing information does not securely connect each amount to every specific dial and reference combination; confirm the current price on the exact product page before relying on either figure. Precious-metal and diamond-set variants shown on the same official pages cost more. These are Japan-market prices in yen, not a universal price or a statement of stock availability.
For a purchase in another country, check Omega’s local official page or an authorized seller for the exact reference, regional price, availability and warranty terms. The official Japan listings do not establish a secondary-market value or the warranty details of other retailers.

How to assess the watch before buying
The listed dimensions and features are useful starting points, but they do not establish how the watch will wear or look on an individual wrist. If possible, evaluate the specific configuration in person and check:
- How the 29 mm case and 31.20 mm lug-to-lug measurement sit on your wrist.
- Whether the bracelet and butterfly clasp feel secure and can be adjusted to your fit.
- Dial legibility and how the dial, bezel and any diamond settings look in ordinary lighting.
- The exact reference, included documentation, warranty terms and current local price.
This is a specifications-led buying guide, not a first-hand wear review: independent hands-on testing or controlled performance measurements are not established here.
