The Omega Seamaster 300 Sedna Gold reviewed here is reference 233.62.41.21.03.001: a 41 mm grade 5 titanium Seamaster 300 with 18K Sedna Gold details, a blue dial and a brown leather strap. It is not the Seamaster Diver 300M Sedna Gold. OMEGA’s published specifications make it a capable, relatively light sports watch; whether its warm gold-and-blue styling is worth seeking out is a matter of taste and current asking price.
What this Seamaster 300 Sedna Gold is
Reference 233.62.41.21.03.001 pairs a grade 5 titanium case with an 18K Sedna Gold bezel and crown details. The blue, sand-blasted dial and brown leather strap give it a warmer, less conventional look than a steel sports watch. OMEGA lists the bezel as Sedna Gold with a ceramic ring and Ceragold diving scale, and the hands as 18K Sedna Gold with vintage Super-LumiNova coating.
OMEGA describes Sedna Gold as its proprietary 18K alloy made with copper and palladium, and says it has used the material since 2012. The combination here is not an all-gold case: titanium supplies the case, while gold is used for accents. The domed sapphire crystal is described by OMEGA as scratch-resistant, with anti-reflective treatment on its inner surface.
Dimensions, weight and wrist fit
OMEGA specifies a 41 mm diameter, 48.0 mm lug-to-lug length and 14.7 mm thickness. The lugs are 21 mm wide, and the complete watch is listed at approximately 84 g. These are manufacturer figures, not a guarantee of how the watch will sit on a particular wrist; case shape, strap adjustment and individual wrist proportions all affect fit.

The titanium construction helps keep the published weight modest for a 300 m-rated sports watch, while the 14.7 mm thickness remains worth checking in person if a low-profile fit is important. The brown leather strap gives the watch a dressier, more vintage-inspired character than a conventional dive-watch bracelet, but it is not the configuration for every wearer or use.
Movement and published capabilities
| Specification | OMEGA-published detail |
|---|---|
| Movement | Calibre 8400, self-winding |
| Power reserve | 60 hours |
| Water resistance | 30 bar (300 m / 1,000 ft) |
| Magnetic resistance | OMEGA says the movement is unaffected by magnetic fields greater than 1.5 tesla (15,000 gauss) |
| Other functions and construction | Time-zone function, screw-in crown, transparent caseback and unidirectional rotating bezel |
These are specifications and performance claims from OMEGA’s exact-reference product page, not results from independent testing. The page also identifies the sapphire crystal as domed and the bezel as unidirectional.

What the 2015 hands-on review reported
Robert-Jan Broer’s review for Fratello, published October 21, 2015, described wearing a review watch supplied by OMEGA for a couple of weeks. He liked the contrast of the brown strap, blue dial and gold details, while noting that the tan-toned strap would not suit everyone. He also said the titanium case felt lighter than the full-steel version and thought the watch looked visually slim for a sports model despite its substantial thickness. These are Broer’s dated impressions, not a new hands-on assessment.
Broer framed the question of gold on a sports watch as a personal one—his review included the heading “Does gold belong in a sports watch?”—and treated the material premium as a buyer’s preference rather than a universal value judgment. He characterized the watch as modern with vintage-inspired design, not as a vintage watch. His pricing comparisons belong to 2015 and should not be used to judge today’s value.

How it differs from a steel Seamaster 300
The defining contrast is material and presentation: this reference substitutes grade 5 titanium for the steel case and adds Sedna Gold and Ceragold details, with a blue dial and brown leather strap. Broer reported that it felt lighter than the steel version, but no directly comparable current weight or price for a steel configuration is established here. OMEGA’s published dimensions above apply to this exact reference; do not assume another Seamaster 300 variant shares them.
The choice is therefore less about a verified performance advantage over steel and more about what you want from the watch’s look and feel. If you prefer a cooler, more understated metal appearance or a bracelet, a steel configuration may be the better direction. If the gold accents and titanium case are the point, the Sedna Gold reference has a distinct character. Try the exact configuration and compare current local prices rather than relying on historical comparisons.

Price and availability: verify locally
OMEGA’s Hong Kong page for this reference showed HKD 88,200 and “currently unavailable online,” but that listing’s search crawl was about 2.3 years old as of October 8, 2026. It is stale, region-specific information—not a current quote, a global stock report or evidence that the watch has been discontinued. Check with OMEGA or an authorized local retailer for current availability and pricing. For a pre-owned example, establish seller credentials, provenance and service history before purchase.

This is a strong candidate for someone who wants the proportions and dive-watch capability of a Seamaster 300 in a lighter titanium case, but prefers gold accents and a blue-and-brown palette to the usual all-steel look. It is less compelling if you want a neutral metal finish, a bracelet, or a price advantage that has not been established against current alternatives.

Before buying, try the 41 mm case if possible, assess the 48.0 mm lug-to-lug span and 14.7 mm thickness on your wrist, and confirm that the leather strap suits how you plan to wear it. OMEGA specifies a 21 mm lug width; if sourcing another strap, verify both the width and the attachment details, as width alone does not guarantee compatibility.
