Omega limited reference 233.32.41.21.01.001 to 7,007 pieces and now lists it as no longer available. Its specifications are strong on paper, but a pre-owned example’s condition, service history and included accessories matter more than the original edition story.
What makes the Seamaster 300 SPECTRE different?
This is the heritage-styled Seamaster 300, not the Seamaster Diver 300M. Omega’s official product page identifies it as reference 233.32.41.21.01.001 and describes a 41 mm stainless-steel watch with a black dial. The SPECTRE edition’s visual signature is its black ceramic bidirectional bezel with a 12-hour Liquidmetal scale, lollipop central seconds hand and five-stripe black-and-grey NATO strap. Omega states that production was limited to 7,007 pieces; the product page now marks the model no longer available. Omega’s product listing
The bezel’s 12-hour scale can be used to track a second time zone by aligning the bezel with the hour hand, or to measure elapsed time over a 12-hour span. It differs from a conventional 60-minute dive bezel and should not be treated as an equivalent dedicated dive-timing scale.
Omega’s product description ties the edition directly to the film, stating: “For the first time in Bond history, the actual watch worn by the world’s favourite spy is released as a limited edition model.” That is Omega’s promotional framing of the watch’s Bond connection, not a technical distinction.

What contemporary hands-on reviews observed
Fratello’s 2015 review
Robert-Jan Broer’s hands-on review for Fratello, published September 23, 2015, says Omega sent him the watch for review. He reports that it made a good impression from the start and characterizes it as combining contemporary Omega technology with styling inspired by the brand’s 1950s and 1960s watches. Those are his impressions, not standardized test results. He discusses the dial’s distinctive printing and layout, lollipop seconds hand, sapphire crystal and caseback, steel case finishing, and visible calibre 8400. He also notes the limited-edition caseback marking and describes the launch set as including the Bond NATO, steel bracelet, tools and presentation box. Fratello’s hands-on review

Hodinkee’s launch-era summary
Hodinkee’s contemporary hands-on coverage also identifies the 41 mm case, calibre 8400, 15,000-gauss magnetic resistance, COSC chronometer status, striped NATO and 300 m water resistance. It provides an editorial cross-check of the model’s launch-era description; Omega remains the primary source for the specifications above. Hodinkee’s launch-era coverage
How the movement and bezel shape everyday use
Calibre 8400 is an automatic movement with a 60-hour power reserve, Co-Axial escapement and Omega-stated resistance to magnetic fields greater than 15,000 gauss. The OmegaForums review describes the movement as no-date and reports a rate of 25,200 vibrations per hour (vph). These details may appeal to someone who values a clean dial and a movement designed for magnetic resistance, but they do not establish the condition or accuracy of any particular pre-owned watch. The 12-hour bezel brings a second-time-zone or longer-duration timing function, rather than the elapsed-minute reading associated with a standard 60-minute dive bezel. OmegaForums’ comparison with the regular Seamaster 300 reference 233.30.41.21.01.001 says the SPECTRE version adds the Bond-specific identity, 12-hour countdown bezel and lollipop hand, while the standard version has a conventional 60-minute bezel and ordinary seconds hand. That is the cited review’s comparison; check Omega’s current listing for specifications of any comparator before making a purchase decision. OmegaForums’ review and comparison
Strap fit and what may come in the set
Omega specifies a 21 mm lug width, so a replacement or alternate strap should be 21 mm wide. Many commonly sold straps are 20 mm or 22 mm; either is not the listed fit. A 21 mm NATO is a practical aftermarket option, but it should not be represented as the original Omega striped NATO. OmegaForums also describes examples sold with both a bracelet and striped NATO, plus tools for changing them. OmegaForums’ review

Accessories differ from listing to listing. For context, Phillips documented one auction example, lot 5731/7007, with a warranty card, certificate of authenticity, pictograms card, steel bracelet with 007 clasp, lug tool, operating instructions, cloths, pouch, SPECTRE presentation box and outer packaging. Treat that as an illustration of one recorded set, not a guarantee of what accompanies every watch. Phillips lot 5731/7007

Omega lists the watch as no longer available, so buyers will encounter it through secondary-market dealers and auction listings rather than as a current Omega product. Focus on the individual watch and its documentation rather than assuming every example has the same history or extras.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches- Confirm the reference. Check that the listing and watch are identified as 233.32.41.21.01.001, rather than another Seamaster 300 or the Seamaster Diver 300M.
- Inspect the edition marking and distinctive parts. Ask for clear photographs of the caseback marking, dial, lollipop seconds hand, bezel and strap. Confirm that the bezel and strap match the seller’s description.
- Establish condition and service history. Request available service documentation and have a qualified watchmaker assess the specific watch, especially if its maintenance history is unclear. OmegaForums’ author said in a review published in 2023 that many examples were approaching service age; that was a dated observation, not an Omega-mandated service interval.
- Check what is actually included. Verify the bracelet, NATO strap, tools, cards, packaging and other accessories individually against the listing. A historical complete-set description is not proof that another seller’s watch includes the same items.
- Ask about water-resistance testing. The factory rating does not establish present-day sealing. If water use matters, ask for recent testing documentation from a qualified service provider rather than relying on the model specification alone.
Historical prices are not current valuations
Price references for this edition are time- and transaction-specific. Fratello reported a launch retail price of €6,400 including VAT in 2015. That is a historical launch figure, not a present-day retail or resale price. Fratello’s 2015 review
OmegaForums’ author reported used examples at approximately $10,000–12,000 and unopened full sets up to $15,000 in early 2023. Phillips records a specific lot, number 5731/7007, sold for HK$68,750. Neither a dated forum report nor a single auction result establishes a current market range or the value of another example; condition, completeness, location and timing all differ.
