Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph Tribute to Sir Stirling Moss
Reference 168619-3012 commemorates the 70th anniversary of Stirling Moss and co-driver Denis Jenkinson’s 1955 Mille Miglia victory. Fratello reports their time as 10 hours, 7 minutes and 48 seconds; that figure is presented here as reported in its product article.
The watch pairs a 40.5 mm Lucent steel case with a silver opaline dial. Blue and red scale details, Super-LumiNova X1-filled numerals, chronograph counters and a date display give the dial its busy, instrument-like layout. A tachymeter supports the racing theme. The reported 48.17 mm lug-to-lug measurement is longer than the GTS edition’s despite the smaller diameter, so diameter alone does not tell the whole story about how the case may sit on a wrist.

Its ETA A322-11 automatic chronograph is described as chronometer-certified and rated for a 54-hour power reserve. Other reported details include a screw-down crown, sapphire display back, 50 m water resistance and a brown perforated calfskin strap. Fratello listed production at 70 pieces and a launch price of €11,100.
Mille Miglia GTS Power Control – 2025 Race Edition
Reference 168638-3001 is the simpler, larger option: a 43 mm Lucent steel watch with a salmon dial, a fixed bezel with black aluminum inlay, and a power-reserve indicator. Its 46 mm lug-to-lug measurement is shorter than the chronograph’s reported span, a potentially useful distinction for comparing case dimensions, though actual wrist fit depends on wrist shape and other factors.

Chopard’s 01.02-M automatic caliber is described as chronometer-certified, with a 60-hour power reserve. The report lists 100 m water resistance, a screw-down crown and a black perforated calfskin strap. Its display back carries an inscription of the 2025 Mille Miglia route.
Fratello characterizes the color scheme as recalling race cars from 1940 to 1957 and describes the watch as marking ten years of the GTS line. It reports a limited run of 250 numbered pieces and a launch price of €7,800.

Which release suits which buyer?
- Choose the Stirling Moss tribute if a chronograph, the 1955 race connection and the smaller stated case diameter matter most. Its trade-offs are lower reported water resistance and a higher launch price.
- Consider the GTS if you prefer a three-hand layout with a power-reserve display, want the higher stated water-resistance rating, or favor its salmon-dial design. It is larger in diameter, but its reported lug-to-lug length is shorter.
- Compare availability carefully. Fratello said both were boutique-exclusive at launch. That report does not confirm present-day Chopard boutique stock, authorized-retailer inventory or resale availability. Check with Chopard or a seller directly before relying on a listing.
