Both pair a lacquered turquoise dial that fades to black with 150 m water resistance, a date display and sapphire crystal. The practical choice comes down to wrist proportions, strap configuration and movement: the 38 mm uses calibre 8800, while the 41 mm adds calibre 8900’s independent quick-set hour hand and a five-hour longer power reserve.
What’s different between the 38 mm and 41 mm?
The 38 mm is shorter, thinner and fitted with a smaller movement reserve. The 41 mm takes up more space on the wrist and offers a useful travel function: its local hour hand can be adjusted independently. Dimensions below are hands-on measurements reported by Monochrome; movement and launch-price details are reported by Fratello Watches.

The 38 mm case has a 44.9 mm lug-to-lug length and 12.4 mm thickness; the 41 mm measures 47.9 mm lug to lug and 13.3 mm thick. Those differences matter as much as the diameter: the larger watch extends farther across the wrist and sits slightly taller. Try to compare the watches on wrist if possible, especially if your wrist is narrow or you prefer a compact fit.
How do the movements differ?
38 mm: calibre 8800
The 38 mm model uses Omega calibre 8800 and has a 55-hour power reserve. Omega’s regional product page specifies the movement and reserve for its 38 mm turquoise model. Fratello Watches reports that the steel-bracelet reference is METAS-certified as a Master Chronometer and antimagnetic to 15,000 gauss.

41 mm: calibre 8900
The 41 mm uses calibre 8900, with twin barrels and a 60-hour reserve, according to Monochrome. Its independent quick-set hour hand lets you move the local hour forward or back without resetting the minutes, a practical advantage when changing time zones. Fratello Watches reports the 41 mm steel-bracelet reference is also a METAS-certified Master Chronometer and antimagnetic to 15,000 gauss.
What are the dial, case and water-resistance specifications?
Both sizes have a lacquered turquoise dial that fades to a black gradient, grey-treated hands and indexes, and white Super-LumiNova. The date sits at 6 o’clock on the configurations described by Omega and Watches of Switzerland. The gradient and vivid turquoise give the watch a more pronounced look than a conventional dark or neutral-dial Aqua Terra, while the grey details keep the markers visually distinct.

Strap availability and compatibility depend on the exact reference and market. Check the reference and fitting with Omega or the retailer before buying a separate strap; a strap listed for one case size should not be assumed to fit the other.
