OMEGA announced two black-and-white Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional models on 13 January 2026: one in stainless steel and one in 18K Moonshine Gold. Both use an inverted dial—a polished black main dial with white subdials—rather than a white main dial. Each is 42 mm and uses OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861.
What makes the 2026 black-and-white Moonwatch different?
The defining feature is its inverted dial layout. OMEGA describes a double-plate construction: a polished black, varnished and lacquered upper plate, with white lacquered subdials on the base layer. White minute markers sit on the main dial, while the subdials have black minute tracks. OMEGA calls this an “inverted dial configuration” in its 13 January 2026 announcement.

This is not the same look as a Speedmaster with a white main dial. The new versions pair the black dial with a black ceramic bezel ring and a white enamel tachymeter scale.

The clearest documented distinction is material and the associated hand-and-marker treatment. The announcement gives no prices or weights, so it does not establish which is the better value or how much heavier one feels on the wrist.
