These OnePlus products are not upcoming US releases. OnePlus announced the OnePlus Pad 2, OnePlus Watch 2R, and OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro for the US and Canada on July 16, 2024. The Pad 2 went on sale through OnePlus.com on July 30, 2024, while the Watch 2R and earbuds were scheduled for Amazon availability in early August 2024.

OnePlus introduced three products at its Summer Launch Event in Milan on July 16, 2024:

The official earbud name is OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro, not “new Nord Buds” or “Nord Buds Pro 3.” OnePlus also announced the Nord 4 smartphone at the same event, but that is a separate product and US-availability question.

OnePlus’s launch announcement and its US announcement distributed through PR Newswire confirmed availability for the United States and Canada.

OnePlus listed the Pad 2 in Nimbus Gray, the Watch 2R in Forest Green or Gunmetal Gray, and the Nord Buds 3 Pro in Soft Jade or Starry Black. These are launch prices announced in 2024. By 2026, a product may be discounted, out of stock, discontinued, refurbished-only, or sold mainly by third-party retailers. Check the OnePlus US store before buying.
OnePlus Pad 2: the performance-focused tablet
The Pad 2 was positioned above basic media tablets, with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform, a 12.1-inch 3K display, six stereo speakers, and a Nimbus Gray aluminum unibody. It measures 6.49mm thick and weighs 584g.

Its 9,510mAh battery supports 67W SUPERVOOC charging. OnePlus claimed a full charge in approximately 81 minutes and also promoted up to 43 days of standby time. The latter is a standby claim, not a measure of ordinary active-use battery life.

Accessories change the price considerably
The $549.99 starting price covers the tablet alone. OnePlus launched the matching accessories at these prices:
- Smart Keyboard: $149.99
- Stylo 2: $99.99
- Folio Case 2: $39.99
Buying all three adds $289.97, bringing the listed tablet-and-accessory total to $839.96. That is the more relevant figure for someone considering the Pad 2 as a productivity or laptop-replacement device.
AI and productivity features
OnePlus promoted AI Toolbox features including AI Speak for reading text aloud, Recording Summary for condensing recordings or passages, and AI Writer for generating text from image and text prompts. Availability and behavior can vary by region, language, app, and software version, so these should not be treated as identical to a full desktop software suite.

OnePlus Watch 2R: lighter Wear OS hardware
The Watch 2R is not a completely new smartwatch platform. It is a lighter, lower-cost sibling to the OnePlus Watch 2, using Wear OS 4 and OnePlus’s dual-engine design.
The performance side uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon W5 chipset, while a BES2700 MCU handles lower-power tasks. OnePlus claimed up to 100 hours of battery life, more than 100 sports-tracking modes through the OHealth app, heart-rate-variability and sleep analysis, and an aluminum construction in Forest Green or Gunmetal Gray.
OnePlus said the Watch 2R was almost 25% lighter than the Watch 2, attributing the reduction to its aluminum body. That makes it attractive for buyers who value comfort and battery life more than a more premium case.

- 100 hours is a maximum claim: actual endurance depends on GPS use, display settings, notifications, workouts, and other usage.
- Wear OS does not automatically mean universal compatibility: app support depends on the paired Android phone and software version.
- Do not assume iPhone support: the cited launch materials establish Wear OS but do not establish iOS compatibility.
- Do not assume LTE: the US announcement cited here does not confirm US cellular service for the Watch 2R.
- Wellness tracking is not medical monitoring: general heart-rate, sleep, and HRV features should not be treated as medical-grade measurements.
The Watch 2R is a sensible choice for an Android user seeking Wear OS apps, fitness tracking, and long battery life at its historical $229.99 starting price. Confirm phone compatibility, current support, warranty coverage, and connectivity before purchasing an older model.

OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro: budget earbuds with ANC
The Nord Buds 3 Pro targeted the affordable noise-cancelling earbud market at a July 2024 launch price of $79.99. OnePlus listed hybrid adaptive ANC, BassWave 2.0 bass enhancement, an extra-large driver, Bluetooth 5.4, and claimed total battery life of up to 44 hours.
Each earbud weighs 4.4g, and the color choices are Soft Jade and Starry Black.
The 44-hour figure is a maximum manufacturer claim that generally includes charging from the case and depends on factors such as ANC settings and listening volume. “Adaptive ANC” is a feature description, not independent evidence that cancellation matches premium earbuds from Bose, Sony, Apple, or Samsung.

The launch announcement does not establish details such as multipoint pairing, supported codecs, wireless charging, water resistance, microphone performance, transparency-mode quality, or compatibility with a particular laptop, game console, or accessibility feature. Those details matter if calls, device switching, or high-end audio are priorities.

Because these products launched in 2024, check the following rather than relying on the original launch announcement:
- Current price and stock: compare OnePlus, Amazon, and reputable retailers. A historical launch price is not a current deal.
- Official support: check firmware availability, app compatibility, warranty terms, and return policies.
- Accessory availability: Pad 2 keyboards, Stylo 2 pens, and cases may be harder to find than the tablet itself.
- Phone compatibility: especially for the Watch 2R and OHealth features.
- Connectivity: confirm whether the exact tablet or watch model meets your cellular requirements.
- Newer alternatives: compare the total cost with current iPads, Galaxy Tabs, laptops, Android watches, and newer earbuds.
