Orient’s first Peanuts collaboration produced four watch variants across three series: two Bambino 38 dial versions, a Semi Skeleton (called Stretto in the UK), and a Mako 40. Announced in 2025 to mark the 75th anniversaries of Orient and Peanuts, the limited editions pair Snoopy-and-Woodstock artwork with watches from Orient’s Classic, Contemporary and Sports collections.
Why Orient and Peanuts collaborated
Orient announced the collection on February 13, 2025. Both brands began in 1950, so the watches were released in their shared 75th-anniversary year. Orient described the collaboration as three series: Classic and Simple Style 38 from the Classic Collection, Semi Skeleton from the Contemporary Collection, and Diver Design 40 from the Sports Collection. Across the editions, the design connects Orient and Peanuts with the brand’s cursive logo at 12 o’clock, anniversary artwork at 6 o’clock, and a special presentation box. Orient’s published edition limits are 7,800 for the white Bambino, 3,100 for the cream Bambino, 1,900 for the Semi Skeleton, and 3,800 for the Mako 40. The release date for the original collection was March 13, 2025. Orient’s announcement

How the models differ in everyday use
Bambino 38: the dress-watch option
The white and cream Bambinos share the 38.4 mm case and F6724 automatic movement. Their 3 bar rating is substantially lower than the other two models’ stated water resistance, making them the dress-watch choices rather than the sport-oriented options. The cream version’s beige nubuck strap gives it a distinct look; choose between the pair primarily by dial and strap preference.
Semi Skeleton / Stretto: an open-heart dial
The Semi Skeleton puts part of its movement on display through an open-heart dial. At 40.8 mm wide, 48 mm lug-to-lug and 10.9 mm thick, its dimensions offer a useful fit comparison with the smaller Bambino and Mako. Its 50 m water-resistance rating sits between the Bambino’s 30 m and the Mako’s 200 m stated rating.

Mako 40: the sportiest specification
The Mako combines a 39.9 mm case with a sapphire crystal, F6722 automatic movement and 20 bar (200 m) stated water resistance. That rating and its sport styling distinguish it from the Bambino, but Epson explicitly cautions that it is not an ISO-standard-compliant diver’s watch. A water-resistance figure alone should not be read as certification for a particular diving standard.
Launch pricing and later Japan sale
At launch, the watches were limited editions rather than an open-ended collection. Epson later announced an additional Japan sale for October 16, 2025: 300 Mako 40 units and 300 white Bambino units were reallocated from overseas allocations to Japan. That move did not increase their worldwide edition limits of 3,800 and 7,800, respectively. Epson listed Japan prices of ¥56,100 for the Mako and ¥53,900 for the white Bambino. What to check before choosing one
- Fit: Compare the Bambino’s 38.4 mm case, Semi Skeleton’s 48 mm lug-to-lug measurement and Mako’s 39.9 mm case against a watch that already fits you. No Mako lug-to-lug measurement is provided.
- Use and water resistance: The stated ratings are 3 bar for the Bambino, 50 m for the Semi Skeleton and 20 bar for the Mako. The Mako is not an ISO-standard-compliant diver’s watch.
- Dial and strap: Pick the white or cream Bambino by appearance and strap preference; choose the Semi Skeleton if the open-heart display is the draw, or the Mako for sport styling.
- Edition size: The four worldwide limits range from 1,900 for the Semi Skeleton to 7,800 for the white Bambino. A smaller limit does not establish present availability or future resale value.
- Local listing: Confirm the current price, stock status, reference and applicable warranty with the seller in your market; historical launch or listing details can change.
