Launch coverage from 2014 identifies its movement as Oris Calibre 677 and its water resistance as 100 m. The exact reference covered by a retailer listing is 01 677 7699 4164-07 5 22 15FC. This is an evidence-led review of published specifications, not a firsthand wear or operation test.
What the ProPilot Chronograph GMT offers
Jura Watches reported the model’s launch on 25 July 2014, describing a multi-piece stainless-steel case measuring 44 mm, a black dial, red chronograph counters, and small seconds at 9 o’clock. A yellow-tipped hand indicates the second time zone, while the date sits between 4 and 5 o’clock. The launch report names an automatic Oris Calibre 677, sapphire crystal, a see-through screwed case back, and 100 m water resistance. It also notes fabric-strap and stainless-steel-bracelet configurations. Jura Watches’ 2014 launch report
Those details describe the watch’s layout and reported equipment, but they do not establish how legible the counters are in person, how the GMT hand is set, or how the 44 mm case wears. No physical testing is represented here.

How the second time zone fits the dial
The launch description identifies a yellow-tipped hand as the second-time-zone indicator, distinct from the chronograph counters and small seconds. It establishes that the watch displays a second time zone, but does not document its setting procedure or adjustment increments. Buyers who need a specific GMT setting method should verify it against the watch’s manual or a reliable seller before purchase rather than assume it works like another Oris GMT.
Collection context and a model to keep separate
Oris’s aviation brochure places the Big Crown ProPilot Chronograph GMT among three watches in the then-new ProPilot collection, alongside the Day Date and Date. It says the collection’s coin-edged bezel was inspired by jet-engine turbines. The brochure also dates Oris’s first Pointer Date to 1938 and explains that its oversized crown was designed for pilots adjusting it while wearing gloves. That history gives context to the Big Crown family; it is not evidence that this modern Chronograph GMT is flight-certified. Oris aviation brochure

Do not confuse this watch with the Big Crown ProPilot Calibre 114. Hodinkee’s March 2018 introduction describes a separate 44 mm steel model with a hand-wound Calibre 114, a 10-day power reserve, and GMT adjustment in 30-minute increments. Those specifications are not the Chronograph GMT’s: launch coverage names the latter’s automatic Calibre 677. Hodinkee’s Calibre 114 introduction

The retailer page for the exact reference was marked sold out when it was crawled, so it does not establish current availability or price. Check the live seller listing and the specific watch’s condition, service history, authenticity, and included strap or bracelet. Confirm the full reference on the watch and paperwork, especially if the configuration differs from the listed black fabric strap. The 22 mm strap dimension comes from the retailer listing and should be checked for compatibility with the particular watch.
