The original watches share a 38 mm stainless-steel case and automatic Calibre 754, with grey, blue or green dials and coordinated straps made from deer leather. Oris’s Germany English product page still lists the grey version, reference 01 754 7779 4063-Set; it displayed €2,250 when accessed on October 8, 2026, a regional listing rather than a universal price.
What is the Oris Big Crown X Cervo Volante?
It is a collaboration between Oris and Cervo Volante built around the Big Crown Pointer Date, not a separate watch family. The January 2022 launch comprised three color variants, all with a 38 mm stainless-steel case, Oris Calibre 754 and a deer-leather strap. The styling draws on Alpine colors, while the central date hand and oversized crown retain the Pointer Date identity.
The original Swiss launch announcement gave a retail price of CHF 1,850 and said the watches would be available from January 2022. Oris’s product page lists a two-year warranty for the German-market listing and describes a MyOris extension. Check the terms attached to the watch in your country before relying on an extended warranty.
What is special about the deer-leather strap?
Oris says the strap leather comes from Swiss population-control programs. The companies describe the hides as a by-product, reused and vegetable-tanned with Swiss tanneries. Cervo Volante notes that natural scars and scratches can remain visible, so the leather may show variation rather than a uniformly smooth finish. - Confirm the exact variant. Match the dial and strap color to the reference and package in the seller’s listing; the three launch colors were paired with different strap shades.
- Verify regional price and stock. The €2,250 listing is specific to Oris’s Germany English page and the date it was checked; it does not establish a price or availability in other markets.
- Check strap compatibility carefully. Oris lists a 19 mm interhorn width for the grey reference. Width alone does not confirm compatibility with its quick-change hardware or the supplied buckle or clasp, so verify those details before ordering a replacement.
Oris chairman Ulrich Herzog characterized a mechanical watch as “a sustainable product” because it uses existing kinetic energy and is designed to last.
