Oris specifies 30 bar water resistance and an automatic Calibre 749 with a 38-hour power reserve. Its unusual display is the main reason to consider it—and the key detail to understand before buying.
What is distinctive about the regulator display?
Rather than placing hours, minutes and seconds together at the center, this watch separates them. Oris lists a central minute hand, an hour subdial at 3 o’clock, and a seconds subdial at 9 o’clock. The date appears at 6 o’clock. Oris’s US product page identifies these functions for reference 01 749 7734 7154-Set.
To read the time, start with the central hand for minutes, then check the small register at 3 for the hour. The separate seconds register at 9 adds another point of motion to the dial. Readers accustomed to conventional center-mounted hour and minute hands may need time to adjust; whether that layout feels clear or awkward is a matter of personal preference, not something established by the listed specifications.
Case, dimensions and wrist fit
Oris lists a 43.50 mm multi-piece titanium case, a titanium strap, and a 24 mm interhorn width. The ceramic top ring carries a minutes scale; the domed sapphire crystal has anti-reflective coating on its inside. Oris also specifies a titanium screw-down case back. These details describe a substantial dive-watch format, but diameter alone does not determine how a watch wears.

The 1916 Company’s review listing gives additional dimensions of 12.8 mm thick and 49.9 mm lug-to-lug. Those are figures reported by that retailer, not measurements independently verified here. The lug-to-lug span and case diameter are useful numbers to compare against a watch that already fits you, particularly if you are unsure about a 43.50 mm case. The 1916 Company review listing describes a black dial and red rubber strap.
Movement and practical functions
The automatic movement is Oris Calibre 749. The manufacturer lists a 38-hour power reserve and a frequency of 28,800 A/h (4 Hz). Listed functions include an instantaneous date, date corrector and stop-seconds, in addition to the separated time displays. These are manufacturer specifications; they do not establish a particular accuracy result or hands-on performance.

Water resistance and low-light questions
Oris rates the watch to 30 bar. That is the manufacturer’s water-resistance specification, not a report of real-world diving or pressure testing for this article. The available product information does not establish how legible the dial is in low light or provide a documented lume assessment. One customer comment on a retailer listing describes nighttime readability as difficult; it is an individual impression, not a controlled or representative test. The Uhrenschmuck24 listing and customer reviews should be read in that limited context.
Strap options and compatibility
The reference has a 24 mm interhorn width. Oris’s German product page lists several 24 mm fitting straps, including rubber and leather options, as well as a stainless-steel bracelet. That gives owners manufacturer-listed alternatives to investigate, but availability and prices may differ by region and change over time. Oris’s German product page shows the listed options.

Who should consider this reference?
- Consider it if you want an Aquis with a less conventional display, titanium construction and a manufacturer-rated 30 bar water resistance.
- Try it on first if a 43.50 mm case or the 49.9 mm lug-to-lug dimension reported by The 1916 Company may be large for your wrist.
- Think carefully about the dial if you rely on an instant glance at a conventional center-mounted hour hand, or if proven nighttime legibility is a priority.
- Compare strap choices carefully if you plan to change the supplied titanium strap; manufacturer-listed fitting options are a better starting point than width alone.
