Four Longines releases announced in 2024 stand out for different reasons: the titanium Spirit Zulu Time for travel, the expanded Conquest for everyday sporty wear, the refreshed Master Collection for classic styling, and precious-metal Master Collection GMT editions for a dressier take on a travel watch. These are documented 2024 candidates, not a recovered ranking from an identified original publisher or author; the choices below are based on the features Longines announced.
How to choose among these Longines watches
Start with the job you want the watch to do. The Spirit Zulu Time and Master Collection GMT have multiple-time-zone functionality. The Conquest is positioned as a sporty everyday collection, while the refreshed Master Collection offers a more classic look. For fit, compare the stated case diameters, then try the watch on if possible: diameter alone does not determine how a case wears on your wrist.

Spirit Zulu Time titanium: a lighter travel-watch option
Longines announced the 39 mm Grade 5 titanium Spirit Zulu Time in August 2024. The company describes Grade 5 titanium as robust and lightweight, and says the exclusive GMT calibre is COSC chronometer-certified. That combination makes this the clearest pick in this group if you want a travel-focused watch in a lighter case material. Longines’ August 2024 announcement.
The current US Spirit Zulu Time family page lists 39 mm and 42 mm versions, including a 39 mm titanium model. It describes the family as designed for multiple time zones, with a bidirectional rotating bezel with ceramic insert and COSC-certified movements with silicon balance-springs. Those are current family-page details, not a claim that every specification applied to every 2024 release. Check Longines’ current US Spirit Zulu Time collection for the market-specific lineup.

One reference, in detail
For the blue-dial steel reference L3.802.4.93.2, Longines lists a 39 mm case, ceramic bezel, GMT date, up to 72 hours of power reserve, 10 bar water resistance, sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, and a leather strap with a double-security folding clasp. These specifications are for that reference only; other Zulu Time versions may differ. See Longines’ product page for L3.802.4.93.2.
Conquest: sporty styling for everyday use
Longines expanded the Conquest collection in June 2024, describing the new models as combining sporty elegance with everyday robustness. The company also said the new self-winding movements have silicon balance-springs and non-magnetic components. This is the straightforward choice here if your priority is an everyday sports watch rather than GMT functionality. Read Longines’ 14 June 2024 Conquest announcement.

The announcement identifies a family expansion but does not list every new size or dial variant in the information cited here. Check the exact reference before comparing dimensions or choosing a specific dial.
Master Collection refresh: classic design in two sizes
The August 2024 Master Collection refresh provides the clearest size and material choice for a more traditional look. Longines announced 34 mm and 40 mm models in stainless steel, steel-yellow gold, or steel-rose gold. The cited models have sandblasted silver dials and engraved Arabic numerals. Choose between the two diameters based on your preference and wrist, rather than assuming one will fit better from the number alone. See Longines’ 26 August 2024 announcement.

Master Collection GMT: precious-metal limited editions
For a GMT with a dressier precious-metal case, Longines announced two Master Collection GMT limited series in January 2024: 500 pieces in yellow gold and 500 in rose gold. Each has an exclusive GMT movement visible through a transparent case back. These editions pair multiple-time-zone functionality with a more formal material choice than the titanium Zulu Time. Which Longines would you recommend?
- For travel: consider the Spirit Zulu Time titanium if a lightweight case matters, or the Master Collection GMT if you want a precious-metal limited edition.
- For sporty everyday wear: look at the Conquest expansion, checking the specific reference for the size and dial you want.
- For classic styling: compare the 34 mm and 40 mm Master Collection refresh models and their steel or two-tone case options.
- Before buying: confirm the exact reference, current availability, price, and seller for your market. Longines’ current US catalog is not a record of 2024 launch pricing.
