The Par Weber Coefficient’s defining feature is an always-on illuminated dial: StrapHabit’s 2020 review describes a system of 12 LEDs intended to make the time readable in darkness without pressing a button. Reviewer Nick Lehner found that approach useful, but the review is a sample-level assessment from September 2020—not current proof of the watch’s price, availability, or support.
What is the Par Weber Coefficient?
The Coefficient is a quartz wristwatch built around Par Weber’s Enduro-Lume illumination system. In its September 14, 2020 hands-on review, StrapHabit describes the system as using 12 LEDs to keep the dial illuminated continuously. That is the product’s central distinction: the wearer does not have to activate a conventional backlight when entering a dark space.
The reviewer also recounts a development period of “six months and 257 prototypes.” That history is reported by the review and is not independently corroborated. Read StrapHabit’s review.

How does the always-lit dial work in practice?
Lehner’s review found the illuminated display useful for reading the time in darkness and changing light. That is one reviewer’s experience with a sample, not a controlled comparison or a guarantee that every wearer will find the light comfortable. A continuously lit dial also means the illumination is present when it may not be needed; whether that is convenient or distracting depends on the wearer and setting.

The review contrasts the concept informally with button-activated backlights, tritium, and conventional luminous material. A button backlight is available when activated rather than continuously; luminous material and tritium are different approaches to visibility in darkness. The source does not provide a controlled test of brightness, legibility, comfort, or longevity across these technologies, so it cannot establish that the Coefficient outperforms them generally.
Straps and everyday wear
StrapHabit reports a 20 mm lug width and says the watch package included leather and nylon straps as well as a spring-bar tool. The reviewer notes that aftermarket straps could be fitted at that width. Treat that as a fit starting point rather than confirmation that every strap will suit the case or its spring bars.

Comments on the review page ask about a green strap shown in photographs, but those questions do not establish who made it or whether it was sold with the watch. The review-era package details likewise do not confirm what, if anything, a buyer would receive today.

Who might appreciate the Coefficient?
The idea is most relevant to someone who wants the time visible in darkness without operating a light button and is comfortable with a continuously illuminated dial. The review supports that use case as one reviewer’s positive impression, but it does not answer whether the watch can currently be bought or serviced. Before pursuing a purchase, seek current confirmation of availability, price, warranty, battery replacement, and support directly from a verifiable seller or manufacturer channel.
