The rose gold edition’s published specifications add a hand-wound movement with a 10-day power reserve, housed in a 36.0 × 50.7 mm case that is 22.7 mm high. Those figures describe the 2013 rose gold model, not necessarily every Super Sport variant.
What makes the Bugatti Super Sport unusual?
The Super Sport grew out of Parmigiani Fleurier’s licensing partnership with Bugatti. Bugatti’s 18 March 2019 announcement says Parmigiani became its official licensing partner in 2004 and that the partnership ended in 2019. It identifies the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse as the Super Sport’s inspiration and names the watch among the collaboration’s notable models. Bugatti’s announcement describes the display mechanism as a world first because it allows the time to be shown perpendicular to the usual viewing direction. It also says the watch’s slender profile evokes an aircraft-wing fuselage; that is Bugatti’s characterization, rather than an independent comparison.
That orientation is the defining idea: instead of a conventional dial presented in the expected direction, the time display turns away from the usual viewing axis. The official materials identify hours and minutes, plus a power-reserve indicator on the rose gold model, but do not establish how easily the display can be read while the watch is worn or in motion.
How the Super Sport developed
The first white gold Bugatti Super Sport was unveiled in August 2010 at Pebble Beach alongside the car that inspired it, according to Parmigiani’s 2013 rose gold model release. The rose gold version was a later addition and was limited to 30 pieces. That limit applies to the documented rose gold edition; it should not be treated as the production figure for every Super Sport.

The Super Sport belongs to a broader set of Bugatti–Parmigiani designs, but their concepts are distinct. Bugatti describes the Type 370 as using a transverse movement design and says the Type 390 was inspired by the Chiron. The Super Sport, by contrast, is linked to the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse and its perpendicular time display. Bugatti’s partnership announcement names these models and their respective inspirations.

The following figures are for the rose gold Super Sport described in the 2013 model release. They are published model specifications, not independent test results.

The release also describes two articulated front lugs, which it says are intended to support wearer comfort. That is the maker’s design intent, not a verified assessment of fit on different wrists.
What the published facts do—and do not—establish
The specifications make the rose gold model’s scale clear: at 22.7 mm high, its case is notably tall on paper, while the display departs from a conventional dial orientation. Those measurements help set expectations, but they cannot establish comfort, legibility in everyday use, or how the watch feels on the wrist. Nor do the maker’s stated design intentions substitute for wearer impressions.

The 2013 rose gold release provides technical and material details, while Bugatti’s 2019 announcement supplies the collaboration context and the maker’s account of the display. The exact 2015 hands-on article/video is not available in the sources cited here, so no tactile or on-wrist observations can responsibly be attributed to it.
