The 2026 Ressence TYPE 7 B (Black) and TYPE 7 C (Cactus) update the brand’s first GMT watch with new dial colours and matching rubber-strap options. Both retain the model’s 2025 technical package and are listed by Ressence at €47,700 including VAT. The TYPE 7 combines a second-time-zone display with Ressence’s oil-filled orbital dial, in a 41 mm Grade 5 titanium case.
What is new about the Ressence TYPE 7?
Ressence introduced the TYPE 7 in 2025 as its first GMT and its first model with a titanium bracelet. The 2026 colourway refresh adds two versions: TYPE 7 B in Black and TYPE 7 C in Cactus. The official product pages list both at €47,700 including VAT. The new versions preserve the original core specifications and offer rubber straps in colours matched to their dials. Ressence’s official site presents the current collection and product listings.
The 2025 debut family also includes TYPE 7 N and TYPE 7 XV; those are distinct from the 2026 Black and C releases. The colourway change is the news here, not a revised movement or case specification.
Is the TYPE 7 a GMT watch?
Yes. The TYPE 7 is Ressence’s first watch to show a second time zone. Its GMT indication is integrated into the brand’s convex, orbital display rather than presented on a conventional separate hand-and-number ring. The movement is the self-winding ROCS 7 (Ressence Orbital Convex System), with hours, minutes and GMT among its functions. The product listing does not provide a step-by-step setting procedure, so consult the official manual or an authorised retailer before adjusting the watch.

How does the oil-filled dial work?
The upper chamber contains 2.95 ml of oil. Ressence says this construction eliminates refraction between the dial and crystal, improving legibility by making the display appear visually close to the crystal. The dial itself is a convex Grade 5 titanium component with three eccentric, biaxial satellites; engraved indications are coated with Grade-A Super-LumiNova.
The oil is contained in one of two sealed case chambers. A colour indication also shows oil temperature, one of the TYPE 7’s listed functions. The same function list includes a 120-second runner/shock absorber.

How practical is the TYPE 7 for daily wear?
The case measures 41 mm across and 14 mm thick, and both case and integrated bracelet are Grade 5 titanium. Those dimensions and materials provide useful context when judging fit, but they do not establish how the watch will sit on an individual wrist. The bracelet clasp has five adjustment positions. With 5 ATM water resistance, the TYPE 7 has a stated rating, but it should not be treated as a dedicated dive watch.

The display is unusual and information-dense compared with a conventional GMT layout. That is central to the watch’s identity, but prospective buyers should consider whether they prefer an orbital dial to a more familiar hand-and-scale arrangement before committing at this price.
