The 2024 Parmigiani Fleurier Toric Petite Seconde pairs a 40.6 mm precious-metal case with a slim, hand-wound movement and a restrained small-seconds display. The rose-gold Sand Gold and platinum Grey Celadon versions share the same core dimensions and PF780 caliber; they differ chiefly in metal, dial color and listed price. This is a specifications-led look at the watches, not a claim of physical testing.
What is the Toric Petite Seconde?
Parmigiani Fleurier announced the Toric collection on 9 April 2024, including the Petite Seconde and the Chronograph Rattrapante. The brand presented the collection as a reinterpretation of the men’s dress watch. The Petite Seconde expresses that idea with a conventional round case, a small-seconds subdial and precious-metal construction, while its hand-grained dial colors give the two versions distinct looks.

Parmigiani’s product description says the watch reworks conservative dress-watch codes through its colors and execution, highlighting a manual-winding movement and gold or platinum cases. That is the maker’s positioning, rather than an independent assessment of how the watch wears or reads on the wrist.

What is the difference between the rose-gold and platinum Toric Petite Seconde?
The two references share the 40.6 mm by 8.8 mm case dimensions and PF780 movement. The choice is principally between 18 ct rose gold with a Sand Gold dial and platinum with a Grey Celadon dial. Both dials are hand-grained, according to the respective product information.
The rose-gold case and Sand Gold dial make for a warmer-toned combination; platinum and Grey Celadon create a cooler-toned one. Those are descriptions of the materials and colors, not claims about measured legibility, comfort or wrist fit. Since case size is identical, the dimensions alone do not distinguish how either version will sit on a particular wearer.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What movement is in the Toric Petite Seconde?
Both watches use Parmigiani Fleurier’s PF780, a manual-winding caliber with small seconds, 157 components, 27 jewels, a 4 Hz frequency and a 60-hour power reserve. The brand lists movement thickness at 3.15 mm for the rose-gold reference.
The 2024 catalogue describes Côtes de Fleurier decoration and hand-bevelled steel bridges for the PF780. These details should not be confused with the PF780-AN in the Toric Petite Seconde Anniversaire: that separate variation is described with solid rose-gold bridges and hand-guilloché decoration.
How much does the Toric Petite Seconde cost?
When checked on Parmigiani Fleurier’s official product pages in 2026, the listed prices were CHF 49,500 for the rose-gold Sand Gold reference and CHF 56,500 for the platinum Grey Celadon reference. These are observed official prices, not a guarantee of current pricing in every market; prices can change and do not establish local taxes or dealer stock. Consult the brand’s rose-gold page and platinum page for current details, and confirm availability, taxes, warranty terms and the exact reference with an authorized dealer.
What the published specifications do—and do not—tell you
The listed 8.8 mm case thickness and 40.6 mm diameter provide a useful basis for comparing the watch with other dress watches, but they cannot predict fit on an individual wrist. Likewise, 30 m water resistance is a published rating, not a substitute for checking the maker’s care guidance before exposing a valuable watch to water.
Published information establishes the principal specifications, reference numbers and official listed prices. It does not establish current dealer inventory, service costs, resale value, long-term reliability or independently measured accuracy. A buyer evaluating either version should verify current terms and practical fit with an authorized dealer.
