Patek Philippe’s collection listing marks it discontinued from the collection, while its individual model page still displays a price of $71,768. That displayed figure is distinct from WatchCharts’ September 2026 model estimate of $49,509.
What is the Patek Philippe 5396G-017?
Reference 5396G-017 is Patek Philippe’s white-gold interpretation of its self-winding Annual Calendar Reference 5396. It pairs a sunburst blue dial with a black-gradient rim and 12 baguette-cut diamond hour markers totaling 0.26 ct. The hands are faceted white-gold dauphine style.
The fully polished white-gold case measures 38.5 mm in diameter and 11.2 mm thick. It has a sapphire crystal case back, 30 m water resistance and a shiny navy-blue hand-stitched alligator-leather strap with a white-gold fold-over clasp. How does the annual calendar work?
The day and month appear in apertures at 12 o’clock, while the date appears at 6 o’clock. The moon-phase display and 24-hour indication are also at 6 o’clock, alongside the date. The watch additionally has sweep seconds.

Patek Philippe says its annual-calendar mechanism requires only one correction per year and describes the mechanism as invented and patented by the company in 1996. This refers to calendar correction; it does not mean the watch never needs setting or servicing. The claim should not be read as a description of perpetual-calendar behavior.
