What is the Patek Philippe 5524G-010?
Patek Philippe identifies the 5524G-010 as a new white-gold reference in the Calatrava Pilot Travel Time line. The brand presented it in its 2025 Watches and Wonders press release; launch coverage by Hodinkee also places it among the 2025 releases.
The reference combines the family’s travel-time functions with a distinct vintage-leaning color scheme: an ivory lacquer dial, charcoal-gray applied white-gold numerals with luminescent coating, and a khaki-green composite strap with a fabric pattern and contrasting black stitching. A white-gold clevis-prong buckle completes the strap.
How the dual-time display works
The display is arranged to show home and local time at once. The skeletonized hand indicates home time, while the solid luminous sword-style hand indicates local time. Separate apertures show day or night for each time zone, helping distinguish, for example, a home-time evening from a local-time morning.

A hand at 6 o’clock indicates the date. Patek Philippe says it is coupled to local time, so the date follows the local-time setting when the wearer moves the displayed time zone forward or backward.
Changing the local time zone
Two pushers adjust the time zone. Patek Philippe describes them as screw-down pushers and says their patented safety system is intended to prevent accidental operation of the local-time function. The brand’s press release states: “The two time-zone pushers feature a patented screw-down safety system preventing any risk of accidentally putting the local-time function out of order.”

What changed from the earlier white-gold version?
The 5524G-010 is the new white-gold reference, distinguished visually by its ivory dial and khaki-green strap. Hodinkee’s 2025 launch coverage reports that Patek Philippe discontinued the previous white-gold Ref. 5524G-001. That discontinuation detail is reported by Hodinkee; Patek’s own release establishes the new reference and its presentation.
