What does the Patek Philippe 5320G perpetual calendar show?
The calendar display is designed to make its main indications easy to read at a glance. Day and month appear in separate apertures at 12 o’clock. At 6 o’clock, a date hand circles the moon-phase display. Separate indicators show leap year and day/night.
Patek describes its perpetual calendar as accounting automatically for month lengths and leap years while the watch is running. The 5320G’s layout follows the traditional calendar-watch arrangement described in the manufacturer’s 2017 release, which cited calendar watches from the 1940s as inspiration.
What is the difference between the 5320G-001 and 5320G-011?
The suffix matters: the 2017 release documents the original 5320G-001, while Patek Philippe’s current product page lists the 5320G-011. Specifications from one should not be assumed to describe the other.

The original 5320G-001
Patek Philippe introduced the 5320G at Baselworld in 2017 with a cream lacquer dial and self-winding caliber 324 S Q. The release lists 367 movement parts, 29 jewels, a 35–45-hour power reserve, and a 21K gold rotor. Its 40 mm case is 11.44 mm in overall height, with a stated 20 mm lug width. The release also specifies 30 m water resistance and an interchangeable solid 18K white-gold back supplied alongside the sapphire-crystal back.
The manufacturer says the 001’s three-tiered lugs were inspired by the Ref. 2405. Those case and dial details belong to the original variant, not automatically to the later 011.

Patek Philippe’s current product page describes a hand-polished white-gold case with three-tier lugs, a convex box-style sapphire crystal, and a rose-gilt opaline dial. Charcoal-gray white-gold hands and applied numerals have white luminescent coating. The watch is paired with a chocolate-brown alligator strap and white-gold fold-over clasp.
The page lists a 40 mm diameter, 11.13 mm thickness, and 30 m water resistance. Its self-winding caliber 26-330 S Q has 368 parts and 29 jewels, a 35–45-hour power reserve, a 21K gold central rotor, a frequency of 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour (4 Hz), a Gyromax balance, a Spiromax balance spring, and the Patek Philippe Seal. The listed price is DKK 832,200; it is a regional, time-sensitive figure, not a universal price.

Does a perpetual calendar watch need to be adjusted?
It can run for decades without calendar adjustment while it remains running, because the mechanism accounts for months of 28, 30, and 31 days and the usual four-year leap-year cycle. “Perpetual” does not mean correction-free forever: the Gregorian calendar skips the leap day in century years that are not divisible by 400. Patek Philippe’s 2017 release says the 5320G calendar must be corrected by hand in 2100, and its calendar explainer also notes the need for adjustment at such centennial non-leap years.
This describes the calendar’s long-term cycle, not instructions for setting a particular watch. For setting procedures, use the manufacturer’s instructions linked from the product page; the 2017 release says a setting stylus was delivered with the original watch.

How often does the 5320G moon phase need correction?
Patek Philippe’s 2017 release states that the moon-phase display requires a one-day correction every 122 years. That is the manufacturer’s published claim for the 2017 5320G release, rather than an independently verified test result.
