The 2026 Piaget Polo 79 Two-Tone, reference G0A51150, pairs brushed 18k white gold with polished 18k yellow-gold gadroons. Despite its two-color appearance, it is not a steel-and-gold watch: the described case, bracelet and dial use precious-gold alloys. The configuration also looks back to the Polo’s 1979 roots, rather than introducing a new departure from the collection’s gold-centered identity.
What makes the Polo 79 Two-Tone different?
The contrast is created by finish as well as color. Piaget uses brushed white gold for the watch’s body and integrated bracelet, then sets polished yellow-gold gadroons—the raised horizontal bands associated with the Polo—against those satin surfaces. Piaget’s description emphasizes the seamless relationship between case and bracelet. The design can be read as a bracelet with a watch built into it, but that is a design characterization, not a separate technical feature. The alternation of brushed and polished gold gives the familiar Polo forms their two-tone effect without substituting steel for either gold alloy.
How does the Two-Tone fit the Polo’s history?
Piaget dates the Polo’s debut to 1979 and describes it as the first of the maison’s watch models to receive an official name. The name evokes polo and the jet-set culture of that era. According to Piaget’s Polo 79 history and the Richemont Japan launch release, the 2026 configuration revives a combination associated with the original Polo.

The modern Polo 79 has returned in stages: Piaget introduced a yellow-gold version in 2024 for its 150th anniversary, a white-gold version in 2025, and this Two-Tone model in 2026. Piaget says the Polo 79 won the 2024 GPHG Iconic Watch award; that is an award for the Polo 79, not evidence that the Two-Tone reference received a separate award.
