Don Evans’s October 1, 2026 WatchReport review describes it as surprisingly light for its large footprint. Its appeal comes with a real fit tradeoff: the reviewed sample spans 52mm lug to lug, so this is a watch for someone who wants substantial wrist presence, not a compact diver.
What is the ProTek Aggressor?
The Aggressor is ProTek’s Series 4000 analog dive-watch line. The company identifies references PT4001, PT4003, PT4004 and PT4007 as members of the family on its official Series 4000 page. Evans describes the model he reviewed as the brand’s largest watch to date. His hands-on observations apply to that sample; they are not a guarantee that every wrist or reference will feel the same.
The central idea is straightforward: a large case and a 300m water-resistance rating, without the weight many people associate with a watch this size. ProTek lists an 82g weight for the PT4001, while Evans also reports that figure for his review sample.

How it wears: light, but unmistakably large
Evans reports that the watch felt solid but unusually light for its footprint and was barely noticeable once he had it on. That is the Aggressor’s main wearing surprise: the 45mm case and 52mm lug-to-lug span give it a broad presence, while its listed 82g weight avoids the heft some buyers expect from a large dive watch.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Fit still depends on your wrist shape and tolerance for overhang. Evans, whose wrist measures 7.5 inches, noted the long span and had to size the strap to his wrist. The 22mm lug width is a useful compatibility detail, but strap length and how the case sits are better checked against your own wrist than inferred from the diameter alone.
Evans found the rubber strap less pliable than newer FKM straps. Buyers who like the watch but want to change its feel can check ProTek’s dedicated 22mm Aggressor rubber strap; confirm the color and exact reference fit before ordering.

T100 tritium: illumination without charging
The Aggressor’s defining display feature is its T100 Pro-Glo tritium system. ProTek says the tritium glows continuously for 25 years without needing exposure to external light to charge. That is the manufacturer’s stated illumination period, not a timed independent test. Scuba Diving’s Series 4000 review describes tubes at each hour marker, on the hands and along the bezel centerline.
Evans liked being able to see the tritium without first exposing the watch to light, but said he sometimes missed the dim lighting of Super-LumiNova. The practical distinction is that tritium provides constant visibility, while conventional photoluminescent material needs light exposure before it glows. Which approach suits you depends on whether you prioritize always-on visibility or the softer glow Evans preferred at times.

Dial, legibility and movement
On his sample, Evans describes a bright cyan-blue geometric dial as quirky, with silver frosted hands that remained legible to him. He notes black, yellow and orange dial options as alternatives. Those color impressions and legibility judgments are his observations of the review watch, not claims about a controlled visibility test.
Inside is a Miyota 2035 three-hand quartz movement, according to ProTek. Evans wished the watch were available with an automatic movement; buyers who share that preference should treat it as a meaningful limitation rather than assume the large diver format implies a mechanical caliber.

Price and availability: check the exact reference
The PT4001 product page and WatchReport list $575, and Watches.com lists the PT4003 at $575. A separate ProTek Aggressor page gives a $550 sale price, while the PT4001 manufacturer page showed that reference out of stock when checked in 2026. These are listing-specific figures, not a reliable current price for every model or market. Check the PT4001 page or the relevant retailer listing for your exact reference before buying.
Who should consider the ProTek Aggressor?
The Aggressor is worth considering if you want an analog dive watch with pronounced dimensions, low listed weight, and illumination that does not rely on charging from light. It may be less appealing if you prefer a short lug-to-lug fit, a highly pliable strap straight from the box, or an automatic movement.

Evans frames the watch as an option for people looking for a large, lightweight analog watch distinct from a G-Shock or Luminox. That is a useful description of its niche, not a head-to-head performance comparison: his review contextualizes it alongside large G-Shock watches and notes T100 versus T25 tritium use across brands, but does not establish a comparative winner.
