ProTek’s Series 1000 is its carbon-composite dive-watch family, introduced as part of the brand’s 2022 debut collection. The watches are positioned as tactical, highly legible divers, with ProTek’s self-powered tritium illumination system. Exact specifications depend on the model: the current K1091 Kenetik collaboration, for example, has a 42 mm case and a stated 300 m water-resistance rating.
What the Series 1000 is
ProTek debuted in 2022 with three collections: the Series 1000 carbon-composite diver, Series 2000 stainless-steel diver, and Series 3000 titanium field watch, according to WatchTime’s sponsored launch coverage published May 10, 2022. That article documents launch-era positioning; it is not independent product testing.
ProTek’s current collection page continues to identify Series 1000 as its carbon-composite dive line. The page also lists later and related families, including Series 1010 and 1210 carbon-composite USMC divers, Series 2000 and 2200 steel divers, Series 3000 and 3100 titanium field watches, and Series 4000 and 4100 collections. Those current listings should not be read as evidence that every family existed at launch.
How the tritium illumination works—and what ProTek claims
ProTek describes its system as the “Swiss Self-powered Pro-Glo T25 Illumination System.” On the K1091 product page, the company says the tubes glow continuously for 25 years without an external light source. That duration is a manufacturer claim, not an independently verified lifespan measurement.
ProTek also says the system is 100 times brighter than conventional photoluminescent lume. The product page does not give a test method for that comparison, so treat it as the brand’s performance claim rather than a standardized result. A concrete example: K1091 Kenetik Series
The current K1091 Kenetik collaboration is described by ProTek as based on the Series 1000 Carbon Diver platform. Its published specifications illustrate what one model offers, but should not be assumed to apply to every Series 1000 watch or to the original launch models.

The categories and materials reflect the three families described in the 2022 sponsored launch coverage and reiterated by ProTek in a July 19, 2024 brand post. The later post discusses the USMC collection as well; its brand statements about designations and manufacturing should be understood as ProTek’s own claims. Family labels alone do not establish a like-for-like specification comparison, so compare exact references for details.
What to check before choosing or buying one
- Confirm the reference. Series 1000 is a family, and the K1091 is a particular Kenetik collaboration based on its platform.
- Match the watch to your use. Compare case material and type first—carbon-composite diver, steel diver, or titanium field watch—then review the individual model’s dimensions, movement, water-resistance rating, and illumination configuration.
- Check strap compatibility by model. The K1091 is listed with 22 mm lugs and an easy-change spring-pin strap; verify lug width and attachment details before buying a replacement for another reference.
