The Raketa Leopard 24 is a limited-edition automatic watch built around a 24-hour display and a submarine story: Raketa says metal from the Leopard K-328’s hull was used in the inner bezel. Monochrome reported a 300-piece edition and a launch price of €1,550 in November 2020. That is historical pricing, not a verified current offer.
What makes the Raketa Leopard 24 different?
Its hour hand makes one full turn in 24 hours rather than the familiar 12. The position of the hand therefore corresponds to the time of day, so the dial conveys day or night without a separate AM/PM indicator. Raketa connects the format to life aboard a submarine, where natural light does not provide a reliable day-night cue.

The model’s second distinguishing feature is its claimed material provenance. Raketa says the inner bezel incorporates metal from an exterior part of the Leopard K-328 submarine’s hull and that each watch was supplied with a certificate describing the metal’s origin. The claim applies to the inner bezel, not the entire watch.

Design and movement
A dial designed around submarine shifts
Raketa describes the six red and grey markings around the dial as dividing the day into six four-hour periods associated with crew watches or shifts. The black dial and upper strap, together with red movement screws, rotor and strap lining, are intended to echo the submarine’s claimed upper and lower hull colors. The brand also says the hands draw inspiration from submarine control panels. Monochrome reported luminescent dial and hands.
Automatic calibre 2624A
The 2624A is an automatic 24-hour movement with a bi-directional rotor. Raketa says the rotor was designed to improve winding efficiency in the cramped conditions of a submarine. Monochrome reports 24 jewels, a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour and a 40-hour power reserve. The available sources do not establish a service interval, repair cost or measured accuracy.
How to read and assess the watch
Allow for the 24-hour display
The main practical adjustment is reading the hour hand on a 24-hour scale rather than using a conventional 12-hour dial. If you want an immediately familiar glance-read, that format may be less convenient. If you value a dial that makes the time of day explicit, it is central to the Leopard 24’s purpose and character.
Do not treat the water-resistance rating as dive certification
The reported 20 ATM / 200 m rating and screw-down fittings are substantial stated specifications, but they do not by themselves establish that this model has independent professional dive-watch certification. The reviewed sources do not document a certification or water-resistance test conducted for this article.

Consider size and provenance carefully
The reported 44 mm case diameter makes case size a key fit consideration. The 50.4 mm lug-to-lug dimension belongs to Raketa’s related Sonar model and has not been established for the Leopard 24, so it should not be used to estimate this watch’s wrist span. The submarine-metal narrative and accompanying certificate may appeal to collectors, but the provenance details are Raketa’s claims rather than independently verified history.

Monochrome reported a €1,550 retail price for the 300-piece limited edition on 27 November 2020. This is the only specific price established in the cited coverage; it is not a current market valuation or evidence that a new watch remains available. Raketa’s currently surfaced tool-watch collection does not establish Leopard 24 stock or pricing.
For a pre-owned listing, assess the actual asking price, condition, seller, authenticity and whether the origin certificate and accessories are present. The historical limited-edition count does not establish resale value, and the available sources provide no current market comparison.
Verdict
The Raketa Leopard 24 is most compelling as a distinctive 24-hour mechanical watch with a specific submarine-inspired design and a manufacturer-claimed material connection to the Leopard K-328. Its case size and unfamiliar time-reading format are meaningful trade-offs, while the price often quoted online is a 2020 launch figure rather than a current quote. It is best judged as a themed collector’s watch, not assumed to be a certified professional dive instrument.
