RayNeo Air 4 Pro is a real product, launched globally on February 27, 2026, with a U.S. list price of $299. Its headline feature is native HDR10 support, which RayNeo describes as a first for AR or smart-display glasses. That “world’s first” wording is RayNeo’s claim, not an independently verified industry designation. RayNeo’s CES announcement makes the attribution clear.
The Air 4 Pro is best understood as wired personal-display glasses for movies, gaming and travel—not a standalone spatial-computing headset. It needs a compatible phone, computer, handheld or adapter, and buyers should check the source device carefully before assuming that USB-C, HDR10 and 120Hz will all work together.

What is the RayNeo Air 4 Pro?
The Air 4 Pro uses two Micro-OLED displays to project a private virtual screen in front of the wearer. RayNeo rates that image as equivalent to a 201-inch screen viewed from six metres, but this is a virtual-screen comparison rather than a literal 201-inch display occupying the room.
Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?

It is primarily a wearable display connected to another device through USB-C DisplayPort. That makes it lighter, cheaper and simpler than a headset such as Apple Vision Pro, but it also means cables, adapters and source-device compatibility matter.

Launch date, editions and price
RayNeo announced the Air 4 Pro at CES 2026 on January 6 and began global availability through RayNeo.com and Amazon on February 27. At MWC 2026, the company unveiled Batman-themed versions, including the Batman Justice Edition and Batman Chaos Edition. Availability, packaging and prices can vary by region and edition.
The standard U.S. list price shown by RayNeo is $299. RayNeo advertised a temporary Prime Day price of $239.20 in June 2026; that promotion should not be treated as the permanent price. Accessories such as the HDMI adapter, Pocket TV, Sound Tube and prescription lenses can raise the total cost.
What HDR10 means on the Air 4 Pro
There are three separate ideas that are easy to confuse:
- Native HDR10 input: HDR10 video is sent from a compatible source and displayed through the glasses’ HDR-capable pipeline.
- AI SDR-to-HDR conversion: RayNeo’s Vision 4000 processing modifies ordinary SDR content in real time.
- HDR-capable hardware: The display and electronics can process HDR, but the final result still depends on the device, cable, adapter, settings and content.
AI-enhanced SDR is not the same thing as receiving a properly mastered HDR10 signal. RayNeo says its system can provide real-time SDR-to-HDR conversion, while also supporting native HDR output through compatible DisplayPort devices. The distinction matters if HDR10 is the reason you are buying these glasses.
RayNeo lists up to 1,200 nits peak brightness, more than 10 billion colors, a 200,000:1 contrast ratio, 98% DCI-P3 coverage and approximately twice the dynamic range of earlier models. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent laboratory measurements. HDR10 itself is a signal and format standard; it does not guarantee a particular real-world brightness level, contrast performance or color accuracy.

How 120Hz and HDR10 work together
RayNeo advertises 120Hz gaming, but that does not mean every source can simultaneously deliver HDR10, 120Hz, full resolution and 3D conversion. The available combination can depend on the device, operating system, cable, adapter, resolution and display mode.
Some user reports describe configurations in which HDR10 and 120Hz require a choice, but those reports are anecdotal and inconsistent across devices. The safe conclusion is that 120Hz is supported in suitable configurations, not that HDR10 at 120Hz is guaranteed universally.
If HDR10 at 120Hz is essential, confirm the exact combination with your phone, laptop, Steam Deck, console or adapter before buying. A practical troubleshooting step is to switch from 120Hz to 60Hz when HDR is unavailable, then test the same content again.
What the Vision 4000 processor does
RayNeo says Vision 4000 was co-developed with Pixelworks. Its functions include image enhancement, real-time SDR-to-HDR conversion, HDR output support through DisplayPort, AI-assisted 2D-to-3D conversion and playback of native 3D content.
2D-to-3D conversion is algorithmic rather than equivalent to native stereoscopic production. Depth quality varies with the source’s composition, movement and contrast, and RayNeo acknowledges that results differ by content.

The critical requirement is not simply a USB-C connector. The source must support DisplayPort Alt Mode over USB-C and provide enough power. A USB-C port used only for charging or data will not drive the glasses.
RayNeo lists compatibility with DisplayPort-capable Android phones, USB-C iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, Windows PCs, compatible laptops, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, Steam Deck and other handheld gaming PCs. PlayStation 5 and other HDMI devices require a suitable HDMI-to-glasses adapter.
Before connecting
- Check the device specifications for USB-C DisplayPort or DisplayPort Alt Mode support.
- Use a full-featured USB-C cable rather than a charge-only cable.
- Confirm that the source can provide adequate power.
- For HDMI devices, use an adapter explicitly designed to support the required video format and power it when necessary.
- Check the source’s resolution, HDR and refresh-rate settings.
Older iPhones with Lightning ports need Apple’s Lightning Digital AV Adapter plus a powered HDMI-to-USB-C adapter arrangement, according to RayNeo’s guidance. This is less convenient than connecting a USB-C iPhone directly.
Basic setup
- Connect the glasses to a compatible USB-C DisplayPort source.
- For HDMI, connect the source to a compatible HDMI adapter and provide power if required.
- Select the source’s external-display output.
- Adjust brightness and volume using the glasses’ controls.
- Choose a display mode such as Standard, Game, Movie, Eye Protection, Professional or Vision Boost.
- For native HDR10, enable HDR on the source and use HDR10 content.
RayNeo lists six display modes and 20 brightness levels. If a source shows an image but HDR is unavailable, test a known HDR10 title, check the operating-system HDR setting, try 60Hz instead of 120Hz and temporarily disable 3D conversion.

Audio, comfort and prescription lenses
The Air 4 Pro has four integrated open speakers with acoustic tuning developed in cooperation with Bang & Olufsen. That describes tuning collaboration rather than a claim that the glasses contain a conventional B&O-branded speaker system. RayNeo also advertises Whisper Mode to reduce sound leakage.
Open speakers are convenient on a plane or in bed, but they are not equivalent to noise-isolating headphones. Use headphones when privacy is essential. RayNeo’s optional Sound Tube is sold separately and is not part of the standard product.
At 76 grams, the Air 4 Pro is relatively light for a display device, with adjustable nose pads and flexible temples. Comfort will still depend on facial shape, fit, interpupillary distance, brightness and session length. TÜV SÜD certifications and high-frequency PWM dimming are useful design information, but they are not medical guarantees and do not promise that every wearer will avoid eye strain.
RayNeo includes a prescription-lens frame, not prescription lenses. Custom lenses must be purchased and fitted separately, so prescription users should check local availability and add that cost to the real purchase price.
What the Air 4 Pro is best for
- Private video: A large personal screen for films, streaming and travel.
- Portable gaming: Steam Deck, Switch, compatible phones, laptops and consoles with the right connection.
- Travel: A lightweight alternative to carrying a monitor or tablet, provided the source and cables are available.
- HDR viewing: Native HDR10 content is the product’s main differentiator.
- 3D video: Native 3D material and algorithmic 2D-to-3D conversion are supported, with variable results.
It is a weaker choice for all-day office work, walking around with persistent digital overlays, shared viewing or autonomous AR applications. The virtual-screen size does not create a wide physical field of view, and the glasses do not replace a standalone spatial-computing headset.
Common problems and fixes
Nothing appears over USB-C
Check for DisplayPort Alt Mode, try a known-good full-featured cable, verify power delivery and test with a laptop or handheld known to support USB-C video. If the device lacks video output, no software setting can make a charge-only port drive the glasses.
HDR is unavailable
Possible causes include SDR content, disabled source HDR, an adapter that does not pass HDR, an incompatible 120Hz or 3D mode, or a source that does not output HDR10. Test directly over USB-C, enable HDR where the operating system permits it, and switch to 60Hz.
The image is cropped or unclear
Reposition the nose pads, clean the optics, test a standard 1,920 × 1,080 16:9 signal and check whether prescription lenses are needed. A poor fit or mismatch with the wearer’s interpupillary distance can make an otherwise correct image uncomfortable.

How it compares with alternatives
XREAL One Pro
XREAL One Pro is positioned at a higher price—$599 on the cited U.S. store page after a reduction from $649—with a larger-field-of-view and more developed spatial-display feature set. It is the more relevant alternative for buyers prioritising screen positioning, IPD options and spatial modes over the Air 4 Pro’s lower price and HDR10 headline.
VITURE Pro XR
VITURE Pro XR emphasises a 135-inch private 120Hz Full HD display, electronic light blocking, built-in myopia adjustment and stated brightness figures of up to 4,000 nits panel brightness or 1,000 nits perceived brightness. Its official material does not make the same native HDR10 claim as RayNeo. It is the stronger fit for buyers who prioritise light isolation and built-in vision adjustment.
Should you buy the RayNeo Air 4 Pro?
Buy it if you want a $299 private screen for films or gaming, own a DisplayPort-capable USB-C source, and consider native HDR10 more important than wireless operation or advanced spatial features. It is particularly compelling for handheld gaming and travel, where a large personal display can be more useful than carrying a monitor.

The Air 4 Pro’s strongest case is not that it is universally the best AR glasses. It is a value-oriented pair of wired display glasses whose main technical distinction is native HDR10. Check the video-output standard, adapter requirements and desired refresh-rate/HDR combination before treating the $299 price as the complete cost.
