What makes this Tonda PF a split-seconds chronograph?
A split-seconds chronograph, also called a rattrapante, has two superimposed chronograph hands. They start together; pressing the split function stops one hand to record an intermediate time while the other continues timing. The stopped hand can then catch up with the running hand. Parmigiani’s 2024 catalogue describes the split-time reading as the result shown by the first stopped hand.
That is distinct from a standard chronograph, which times an interval with one chronograph seconds hand. The extra hand and its mechanism make the split-seconds function the central complication here, rather than a decorative variation on an ordinary stopwatch.
PF361 movement: integrated, manually wound and high-frequency
The PF361 is an integrated, manually wound split-seconds chronograph movement. Parmigiani lists a 65-hour power reserve, a frequency of 5 Hz (36,000 vibrations per hour), 309 components and 35 jewels. The official product page gives the calibre thickness as 8.4 mm; the 2024 catalogue states 8.45 mm, so the published figures differ slightly by source.

The catalogue adds construction detail not included in the product page’s extracted specifications: the movement uses two column wheels and a vertical clutch, and its mainplate and bridges are made in 18ct rose gold. It describes an openworked, satin-finished movement with hand-bevelled edges, visible through the sapphire caseback. The product page and catalogue are the sources for these specifications and descriptions; they are not independent assessments of performance or finishing.
Case, dial and exterior specifications
Parmigiani specifies a 42 mm case, 15 mm overall thickness and 18ct rose-gold case and bracelet. The dial is sandblasted platinum, with applied 18ct rose-gold indices and delta-shaped hour and minute hands. The product page calls the crystal anti-reflective ARunic sapphire and lists sapphire for the caseback. Water resistance is rated at 100 m. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements.

The platinum dial gives the watch a quieter visual counterpoint to its precious-metal construction and busy chronograph mechanism. The 2024 catalogue also says the watch includes tachymeter and pulsometer scales; those details are attributed to the catalogue, as they are not listed in the product page’s extracted specification section.

Price and availability
Wempe’s US listing displayed the watch at $187,100 excluding tax when accessed in 2026. That is a retailer price snapshot, not a confirmed Parmigiani manufacturer MSRP, a worldwide price, or proof of current stock. The official product page provides an authorized-dealer locator and concierge contact rather than a public price in its extracted content. Confirm current price, applicable taxes, availability and seller authorization directly with Parmigiani or an authorized retailer.

Warranty and ownership considerations
Parmigiani states that the watch has a three-year warranty against manufacturing defects under its International Sales Warranty. The brand says a further two-year extension may be available after My PF account registration, subject to eligibility and conditions; the extension should not be assumed to apply automatically to every purchase.
At 42 mm across and 15 mm thick, the published dimensions are important to consider before buying, particularly for anyone who prefers a slimmer or smaller watch. The 100 m water-resistance rating is a manufacturer specification, but it does not establish suitability for every activity or replace the brand’s care guidance.

Review verdict: technical substance with a restrained dial
The published specification makes this Tonda PF a focused proposition: a genuinely complex, manually wound split-seconds chronograph, with a high-frequency integrated calibre and rose-gold movement components, housed in an all-rose-gold case and bracelet. The sandblasted platinum dial keeps the exterior from reading as an uninterrupted display of gold. Its stated 30-piece edition adds scarcity, while the substantial dimensions and six-figure observed US retailer price place it firmly in a rarefied category.
For a buyer drawn specifically to the rattrapante complication and to fine movement architecture, the PF361’s stated construction and visible finishing are the strongest reasons to look closely. For anyone primarily seeking a slim, discreet everyday chronograph, its 15 mm thickness, precious-metal build and elaborate mechanism may be less aligned with that brief.
