How the Carbon TPT case is made
Carbon TPT is made from stacked layers of carbon filaments. Richard Mille says the fiber orientation changes by 45 degrees between successive layers. The layered construction produces the material’s visible pattern, which the brand says is unique on each watch. In other words, the pattern is a consequence of the material process, not a repeated printed design.
What the shock-resistance claim means
Richard Mille reports that its engineers tested the RMUL3 under severe shocks exceeding 5000 g. This is a manufacturer-reported test claim, not an independently verified result or a guarantee that a particular watch will withstand any impact. The published figure alone does not specify test protocol, duration, direction, or the condition of the movement afterward.
