The Roger Dubuis Knights of the Round Table The Omniscient Merlin is reference RDDBEX1094, a 45 mm pink-gold automatic watch built around a sculpted dial of basalt, glass and gold. Its official product page lists it as sold out and does not state a price, so that status does not establish whether another seller has one available.
What is the Omniscient Merlin?
RDDBEX1094 is a Knights of the Round Table model that Roger Dubuis describes as bringing Arthurian legends to life through fine watchmaking and métiers d’art. Richemont’s FY2025 annual report identifies The Omniscient Merlin as the latest creation in the collection at the time of the report. It is a distinct reference, not another name for the later Metamorph Merlin.
How the dial is made
The dial evokes the Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland, using 56 blocks in a raised, irregular landscape. Roger Dubuis specifies 28 basalt blocks, nine pink-gold blocks, and 19 black and transparent glass blocks. Their heights range from 0.2 to 3.7 mm, creating variation across the surface rather than a flat printed scene.
Twelve individually distinct micro-sculpted knights stand around the dial, each approximately 6 mm tall. Roger Dubuis says manual engraving takes one to three days for each knight. The brand also identifies a clear sapphire ring beneath the bezel, a crown protector shaped like a sword guard, and a 360-degree oscillating weight inspired by medieval stained-glass windows.

These are the specifications Roger Dubuis publishes for RDDBEX1094. The stated 3-bar rating is a technical specification, not a reason to treat this elaborate watch as suitable for swimming or other water activities.
Omniscient Merlin vs. Metamorph Merlin
The later The Metamorph Merlin, reference RDDBEX1118, is a separate Knights of the Round Table model. Fratello describes it as the collection’s thirteenth release and reports a 28-piece limitation. Those details belong to RDDBEX1118, not the Omniscient Merlin.
