The Rolex GMT-Master II reference 126710BLNR is a 40 mm Oystersteel watch with a blue-and-black Cerachrom bezel and Rolex calibre 3285. Its defining travel feature is an independently adjustable local hour hand: the arrow-tipped 24-hour hand continues to show reference time, while rotating the bezel lets you read an alternative time zone. The specifications and operation described here are based on Rolex’s published material, not an independent hands-on test.
What the Rolex 126710BLNR is
Rolex identifies reference 126710BLNR as an Oystersteel GMT-Master II with a two-colour blue-and-black Cerachrom bezel insert. The official product result lists a black dial and Jubilee bracelet; listings and bracelet configurations can vary, so verify the exact configuration of a particular watch.
The blue-and-black bezel is part of the model’s visual identity, but it also has a practical role: its 24-hour scale works with the arrow-tipped GMT hand to display a second time zone. Rolex says it introduced a blue-and-black two-colour Cerachrom insert on an Oystersteel GMT-Master II in 2013. Rolex’s GMT-Master II history provides the model-family context.

Rolex’s GMT-Master II collection information describes the movement and its approximate power reserve; the reference-specific details appear in the official 126710BLNR product material.

How the GMT-Master II displays two time zones
With the bezel in its neutral position, Rolex says the arrow-tipped 24-hour hand indicates reference time. The local hour hand can be moved independently in hour increments, without changing the minute hand, seconds hand or 24-hour hand. The date is synchronized with local time.
To display an alternative zone, rotate the bidirectional bezel and read the 24-hour hand against its graduations. This gives the wearer a choice: keep the bezel neutral to preserve a fixed reference-time display, or shift it to read another zone. The display is analogue and depends on the wearer interpreting the 24-hour scale; it does not automatically account for daylight-saving changes.

Where the blue-and-black version fits in the model’s history
Rolex says the GMT-Master II name followed a movement update in 1982 that allowed its hour hand to be set independently of the other hands. The independently adjustable local hour hand is the key distinction behind the GMT-Master II’s travel-time operation. In 2013, Rolex introduced the blue-and-black two-colour Cerachrom insert on an Oystersteel GMT-Master II, the design lineage relevant to the 126710BLNR.
Rolex’s 2025 announcement of a white-gold GMT-Master II with a green dial and green-and-black bezel is a separate model-family release; its materials and colourway should not be confused with the Oystersteel 126710BLNR. Rolex’s collection history and its 2025 new-watches announcement provide those respective contexts.

What to verify before considering a specific watch
- Confirm the reference and exact bracelet configuration against the listing and the watch itself; the Jubilee bracelet and black dial are identified in the official product result, but not every catalogue presentation should be assumed identical.
- Check the seller, condition and current availability for the individual item. No current price or live stock status is established here.
- For setting instructions, use Rolex’s official watch-setting guide; this article explains the GMT display but does not provide a crown-position procedure.
