Reference 126715CHNR is a 40 mm GMT-Master II in 18 ct Everose gold, with a tiger iron dial and a solid-link Everose Oyster bracelet. Its bidirectional bezel carries a two-colour brown-and-black Cerachrom ceramic insert. These details distinguish this reference; they do not, by themselves, establish how it compares in performance or value with other GMT-Master II versions.
Rolex describes Everose as its patented pink-gold alloy, cast at the company’s own foundry, and says it introduced the alloy in 2005. The warm hues Rolex attributes to the dial sit alongside the pink-gold case and bracelet, while the bezel adds brown and black.
What is tiger iron?
Rolex describes tiger iron as a metamorphic rock composed of tiger’s eye, red jasper and silvery hematite. The company says the stone has golden and orangey tints and that it used tiger iron for the first time on this watch. Rolex says: “Composed of three minerals – tiger’s eye, red jasper and silvery hematite – it is a stone that pulses with golden and orangey tints, which, following painstaking selection and meticulous assembly, marry harmoniously with the colours of the case and bracelet.” The phrase “marry harmoniously” is the manufacturer’s promotional judgment. As a matter of appearance, the stone’s warm tones echo the Everose gold.
How does the GMT hand work?
Rolex’s GMT arrangement is designed to keep reference time visible while the wearer changes local time. The arrow-tipped 24-hour hand makes one circuit of the dial every 24 hours. Read against the bezel’s 24-hour graduations, it indicates a second time zone; rotating the bidirectional bezel lets the wearer read another time zone.

For a local time change, the crown-operated mechanism moves the hour hand forward or backward independently of the minute and seconds hands. Rolex describes this as “jumping” the hour from one position to another. In practical terms, the local hour can be adjusted without resetting the reference-time display.
