The coral red and yellow-dial Rolex Oyster Perpetual 41 watches are dial variants of the same reference, 124300—not different technical models. Their shared specifications are the same; the practical choice comes down to which color you prefer and the condition, provenance, completeness, and asking price of the individual watch.

What differs—and what stays the same

“Coral Red” and “Yellow Dial” are names used by marketplace and specialist sources for versions of the Oyster Perpetual 41 reference 124300. Rolex’s brochure documents the reference’s specifications but does not confirm these two specific color variants or their production history. The color labels are therefore supported here by listings and specialist terminology, not by the brochure as proof of those variants.

There is no technical distinction in the evidence presented between a coral-red 124300 and a yellow 124300. Choose between them first on dial color and personal preference; then assess the particular watch being offered.

Shared Oyster Perpetual 41 reference 124300 specifications

Rolex’s brochure gives the following specifications for reference 124300. They describe the reference, not a color-specific difference.

Coral red vs yellow: a useful buyer comparison

Dial color

Both colors appear in listings for 124300. The deciding difference established by the available evidence is the dial color itself; there is no supported basis here for claiming one is technically superior. If possible, assess the specific dial in person or request clear, well-lit photographs, since a listing label alone does not establish the exact appearance or condition.

Asking price is not a sale price

Chrono24 displayed listings labeled “Coral Red” and “Yellow Dial” for reference 124300. Those are individual seller asking prices, which can change; they are not verified completed-sale prices or a controlled comparison. The listings do not establish a reliable color-specific premium or show that either dial is a better investment.

ChronoCheck identifies 124300-0007 as “Coral Red OP” and 124300-0004 as “Sun Yellow OP.” Its reported $10,157 figure is a reference-level aggregated market value dated 1 October 2026, based on its aggregate of asking prices and market inputs. It is a third-party estimate, not an official Rolex value and not specific to either dial. Treat it as context rather than a price target for an individual watch.

Condition, completeness, and records

Compare the actual watches, not just the dial names or reference numbers. Review the case and bezel for wear or polishing, and check what accessories and warranty documents are included. Ask for service records and confirm that the watch’s reference and dial match the seller’s description. These details can distinguish two individual examples more meaningfully than the color label alone.

Seller credibility and authentication

Rolex states, “Only official Rolex jewelers are allowed to sell and maintain a Rolex watch,” and says those jewelers have the skills, technical knowledge, and equipment to guarantee the authenticity of each part. A marketplace listing, seller-provided papers, or a specialist’s description should not by itself be treated as authentication. Ask what protections apply to the transaction and whether an official Rolex jeweler will authenticate the watch.

ChronoCheck’s buying guidance also recommends checking matching serial and reference information, papers, case and bezel condition, completeness, documented service history, and an independent authenticity check. That is third-party guidance, not a Rolex standard; no specific watch has been inspected or authenticated here.

How the current catalogue model compares

Rolex’s U.S. catalogue page lists the current Oyster Perpetual 41 as reference 134300, with a multicoloured Jubilee-motif dial, for $7,050 USD. That is the official U.S. list-price snapshot accessed on 7 October 2026. The page documents a 41 mm Oystersteel case, calibre 3230, approximately 70-hour power reserve, Oyster bracelet, and Superlative Chronometer certification.

Reference 134300 is a different reference and dial configuration from the coral-red and yellow 124300 variants. Its catalogue price is a useful current Rolex comparison point, not an apples-to-apples valuation of either 124300 dial or a quote for what a discontinued variant should cost.
