Rolex’s 2023 Sky-Dweller update added three configurations to the line. Each pairs a different dial colour with a different case metal and strap or bracelet. Time+Tide Watches reported the launch on 28 March 2023 in coverage of Watches & Wonders 2023, and the three models share a 42 mm Oyster case, 100 m water resistance and Calibre 9002. This article explains what the three models are, what they have in common, how the calendar system works, and what the reported prices did and did not mean.
What Rolex introduced in 2023
The three new Sky-Dweller models differ mainly in metal, dial and wrist fit. According to the 2023 Time+Tide report, they were:

The report does not give the case proportions of the steel and white gold model beyond the metals named, so readers should check the exact construction against Rolex’s own documentation or an authorised dealer before comparing it with other two-tone references.

These are manufacturer-level figures as relayed by Time+Tide. They describe the design intent of the 2023 models, not independent test results.
Calibre 9002 and the dual-time-zone annual calendar
The report describes Calibre 9002 as a dual-time-zone movement with a Saros annual calendar. In practical terms, the watch shows a second time zone alongside the local time and a calendar that runs for a full year rather than needing manual correction every month. The 72-hour reserve means a watch left unworn for three days should still run, which is a useful benchmark when you consider how long a watch can sit before it needs winding.

Ring Command and the month display
Setting the watch is handled through Ring Command. As the report explains it, you turn the rotating bezel to select the function you want to adjust, then use the crown to set it. The month is shown through red apertures around the dial, and the calendar automatically adjusts for months of 30 and 31 days. Once you have set the date and month, you should not need to touch the calendar again except during a long period without wear.
What the 2023 prices meant
The report says all three models were “available now” when it was published on 28 March 2023. Those prices are article-era figures for that date. They are not a current price list, and they do not show what any dealer or pre-owned seller charges today. The third configuration was listed as price on application, so no fixed figure was published for it.

Because Rolex prices and availability change over time, a 2023 price is best used as a reference point for the original launch rather than as a buying guide.

- The mint-green dial is described as having been previously available on the Datejust.
Both claims are the article’s own. Check them against Rolex’s catalogue history before repeating them as fact.
Checking the models today
The 2023 report cannot tell you whether these configurations are still in production or what they cost now. Before buying, whether new or pre-owned, work through this checklist:
- Confirm the reference is still listed by Rolex or an authorised dealer, and that it matches the metal, dial and strap or bracelet you want.
- Ask for a current price in writing, including any applicable taxes, rather than relying on a 2023 figure.
- For a pre-owned watch, verify the seller’s authenticity process, the included papers and the serial and reference numbers against the listing.
- Confirm the strap or bracelet included. The Oysterflex strap and the Oyster bracelet are different options on different configurations, and mixing them up changes the watch you actually receive.
If you are comparing the three models, the most useful distinction is the balance between case metal and dial colour: the mint-green steel and white gold model, the black-dial white gold model with its Oysterflex strap, and the blue-green Everose gold model each emphasise a different look at a different price tier.
