Its 40 mm steel case, layered dial and paired leather and silicone straps give it a motorsport look, while its stated 50 m water resistance is explicitly not intended for swimming. Here’s what the current TPS specifications establish, how the chronograph works, and what to consider before choosing a version.
What is the ROUE TPS?
The TPS is ROUE’s racing-themed chronograph line, designed as a tribute to the Porsche 910 and 1960s racing watches. The caseback carries an embossed car illustration. ROUE lists the TPS One and TPS Ten on its current product pages; the exact colors and stock may change. ROUE’s media index also lists an article titled “ROUE TPS Watches Hands-On” from aBlogtoWatch. The specifications and observations below come from the accessible product pages and independent reviews, not from that linked article.
How the chronograph works
The TPS uses the Japanese Seiko VK63 hybrid meca-quartz movement. ROUE lists hours, minutes, running seconds, chronograph minutes and an AM/PM indicator. On the dial, the chronograph-minute register is on the left, running seconds are at center, and the AM/PM indicator is on the right. The dial also has tachymeter and pulsometer scales.
In a November 2020 review, Worn & Wound described the chronograph seconds hand as moving in visible increments, with a tactile action at the pushers and a snap-back reset. Fratello’s Vincent Deschamps reported using the 60-minute chronograph and noted the 24-hour indicator. These are review observations, not controlled performance tests. Worn & Wound’s review and Fratello’s June 2022 hands-on provide the dated first-person accounts.

How it wears and what the reviews say
The 40 mm diameter is only one part of fit: the listed 48 mm lug distance affects how far the case spans across the wrist, while the 13.4 mm thickness affects how high it sits. Worn & Wound’s Ed Jelley reported that it fit comfortably on his 6.75-inch wrist. That is one reviewer’s experience, not a guarantee for other wrist shapes or sizes.

- Case Size: 38 mm, Band Width: 11.45 mm , Case Thickness, 11.46 mm
- Swiss Quartz Movement, 316L stainless steel case, Date
- Water-resistant up to a pressure of 10 bar (100 m / 330 ft)
Worn & Wound also praised the case finishing and pusher feel. Fratello’s Deschamps found the lume subdued. Both are subjective assessments from dated reviews, so they are best treated as impressions rather than measured specifications. Deschamps wrote, “I personally find that timing something is easier with a chronograph than it is with a dive-time bezel”—his personal preference, not a general rule.
Can you swim with the ROUE TPS?
No. Although ROUE states 50 m pressure resistance for the TPS One, its product page explicitly says the watch is not suitable for swimming. Treat that rating as splash resistance for ordinary exposure, not as permission to swim or dive. Check ROUE’s current product-page wording for the specific reference you are considering.

How do TPS versions differ?
ROUE’s TPS Ten page lists the same core case and movement specifications as the TPS One, but pairs brown leather and gray silicone straps with green and silver subdials. See the TPS Ten product page for its listed configuration and current availability.

Older reviews cover other versions, but they are historical snapshots rather than a reliable guide to today’s full range. Oracle Time’s sponsored April 12, 2021 review describes five color variants available at that time. Worn & Wound’s November 6, 2020 review covers TPS Two through Five and lists a $290 price at the time; that figure is not a current price. Oracle Time’s review and Worn & Wound’s review are useful for understanding those earlier releases, not confirming present stock or pricing.
What to check before choosing one
- Reference and dial: Compare the actual colors and register layout on the specific model page; availability can change.
- Fit: Consider the 40 mm case, 13.4 mm thickness and 48 mm lug distance together. Try it on if possible, since wrist shape affects how it wears.
- Water use: Do not choose it as a swimming watch; ROUE’s stated 50 m grade comes with an explicit no-swimming caveat.
- Crystal expectations: The crystal is coated K1 mineral, not full sapphire.
- Strap replacement: The watch is supplied with quick-release leather and silicone straps. Worn & Wound reported 20 mm lug width in 2020; verify width and attachment compatibility for your exact reference before ordering another strap.
- Commercial details: Confirm the current price, stock, shipping region and warranty terms with ROUE or the seller, since older review prices and lineups are not current listings.
